Loved the black out curtains and the hotel was so quiet despite being near the airport. Our whole family commented on how well they slept with no light or noise. So close to the airport, the mall or america and more!

Clean very nice rooms. Great lobby area to hang out inside and outside. Things to do with kids in the lobby. Great coffee bar. Nice breakfast.

Great stay option for overnight before a flight out. Good breakfast options, kids were happy with the pool, room was fine. Only downside is not many streaming options on room TVs, only Netflix was available on their platform. That was a bummer when kids were hoping to rent a movie to watch.

Unique features were pancakes in the Hot Breakfast menu, made on order, and room had a shower stall, rather than tub. Seemed popular with families - lots of groups with children at breakfast - but we never heard any neighbors (not even a shower running).

Overall our stay was wonderful. The staff was amazing. The room was clean and well appointed with all the normal hotel stuff. I loved the lemon soap. The breakfast was nice and they had a small store in the lobby. They had lots of things for the kids to do. My one and only recommendation for this pet friendly hotel is to improve the pet relief area. It has very little grass and muddy. We had to walk a good ways to find a good grassy area. We would stay there again.

Our family of 4 was coming up to the Mall of America and enjoyed that the location was close. Prior to our arrival, we called and asked if there was a pack and play for our young child. My husband was on the phone for 18 mins, off and on being put on hold. The lady on the other line was not friendly, but said they put it in and have it in our room. When we arrived Friday evening, we checked in and when asked about the pack and play, a man at the front (who wasn't even checking us in, but another woman) said rudely, "We don't have a pack and play!" while the lady checking us in said that she was going to check with housekeeping about the pack and play. We never received one. The food was good, however, the dining area is small, for having 2 hotels (Tru and Home 2 Hilton) in the same location. Finding a seat and waiting in line to get food was long. Shuttles to MOA were allowed, but you had to sign up. When the times were booked and we cancelled the time, the front desk did say that we didn't need to make an appointment and they would take us whenever. Overall, we had a good stay. A good room, good food, but customer service is what brought down the stars rating.

Easy walk to the mall and transportation into the city. Really wish there were adult swim hours for the pool, as there were always kids splashing around every time I walked by, and I'd really wanted a relaxing swim. Happy to see the soap, shampoo, etc. dispensers in the bathroom (instead of individual little bottles), but they work poorly: Gentle squeezes yield nothing; the tiniest bit more squeeze causes a gush of way more product than needed to come out--wasteful!

Staff very friendly and helpful. Gave us 2 pm late check out as our flight was in the evening. Hotel is modern, plug-ins everywhere. Breakfast was good. Shuttle to Mall and airport awesome. Drivers were very friendly and helpful. Otherwise the rooms were not soundproof as we heard the people above us walking, child coughing. But overall we would definitely stay here again and suggest it to our friends and family.

Breakfast options are a nice fit for families. Loved the minimalist room design and the play area close to the main lobby.

Even though I rated this property well on cleanliness and safety, my two primary concerns, I will never stay at another Tru again. I thought other reviewers were exaggerating when they said the walls were thin. I can certainly live with the planes flying overhead; that’s part of life in airport hotels. But the walls are so insanely thin it’s like all your neighbors are in the room with you. I arrived to a crying baby, woke up at 6:21am to an obnoxiously loud TV, listened to other neighbors talk yellingly (yes I made up the word; they weren’t angry but did not use their inside voices) at one another, and heard the one-sided details of another person’s phone conversation. I can’t imagine why this place has such great reviews unless the hotel is empty throughout their stays or their neighbors are quiet as mice. I was unlucky regardless and will not put myself through that again, that’s for sure! Hilton should be ashamed of themselves.
