Double charged and I am still trying to resolve. Pillows were terrible. Room was not very clean and pool water was green and kids couldn't swim in it.

My family and I traveled to Detroit for a wedding. We stayed from 6/3-6/4/2023. The property and the staff were excellent as well as the cleanliness. The only inconvenience that we experienced was the loud voices of other guests on our floor. Other than that this facility worked out for us.

The property itself was quite nice, our room was just very dirty. We had to wipe down the tables and the floor in the bathroom was covered in something. We also found several pills on the floor and the baby found a Cheeto and was eating it before we had a chance to stop him.

I don’t ever leave reviews but i felt like I needed to especially for how much we paid for this room. We paid over three hundred dollars for a standard room. We arrived around 1am, check in went smooth. We entered the room and it had a strong mildew smell, the ac was set at 62. There was still birthday decorations in the room from someone’s last stay. The tile floor was so sticky and There were stains in the carpet that looked like smashed cake/frosting with food still on the tile floor. There was an earring on our bathroom counter so we knew the counters didn’t get wiped down. We took the comforter off and the sheets were super wrinkled to where it looked like the bed was just remade and not changed and the sheets felt wet/damp. When we pulled back the top sheet there was a room key Under the sheet. There was what looked like blood spots on the bed skirt and food crumbs on top on the bed skirt. Everything felt sticky and dirty even the remote to the tv. We talked to front desk and they said they couldn’t change our rooms because they were full and just apologized. We were 3.5 hours away from home and needed to be to the field at 10am and all other hotels were sold out around us. We were exhausted from the drive especially with 3 kids and a newborn so we just stayed. I felt so disgusting I couldn’t wait to leave. When we checked out and told the person the same thing she apologized and said she would let her manager know and that was it.

The room was ok. But the noise on the first floor a door or two down was obnoxious yesterday. Sounded like there was a daycare center being run down the hall with kids playing and screaming loudly for hours. Apparently the walls are paper thin. I didn't complain because it was during the day in the afternoon. But I was trying to rest, as I'd just gotten off from a long day and a half of work. Some people just have no consideration for others in public places or hotels. The noise level was loud enough that I'm sure it could be heard clearly by the front desk. Also, for 2 of the 3 nights I stayed there, each time I left or returned to the hotel, there seemed to be some sort of altercation happening between a small group of men immediately outside the front entrance of the hotel. Loud arguing and cussing at one another. I expected someone from the hotel would've proactively addressed this. I paid for my room just like everyone else. I'd prefer to stay in a more peaceful environment when I'm in a hotel anywhere.
