The dining area was dirty. The tables need to be cleaned routinely during breakfast to allow others to sit and eat. Also, the pool area is beyond noisy. Adults cant even have a conversation with 3 kids in the pool because of the excessive echo. Please put up noisy reduction tiles! The pool is also very rough. We came home with cuts and abrasions on hands, feet, and knees, because the pool caused us to bleed. Unsanitary for all these people bleeding in the pool, and thru the hotel lobby because their feet have cuts. Please fix that in the pool.

We stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Plymouth, MI when we visit our family. Always a courteous staff, especially housekeeping and kitchen staff. Very clean and comfortable rooms and a great location to dining and shopping. The pool is also great and outdoor area comfortable when the weather is warm. The warm breakfast is great and very substantial! Highly recommend!!

I took my 2 granddaughters and 3 great grandkids, ages 5 and 7 here for the weekend before school started. They played in the pool for hours and loved it! A joyous time for a grandma with a room full of cousins! The only negative was our refrigerator didn't work. We didn't realize it until the next morning when our drinks were warm and our food had sat too long to eat.

My stay was going great until they let a family of 10 (4 adults and 6 kids) move into the room next door. Extremely loud till 3am. I know they have a policy of how many can be in a room im just wondering why it wasnt followed.

Everything was fine with the hotel itself. The only issue I had were the drunk tailgaters outside on the side of the hotel at midnight who threw curse words and insults as my child and I when getting out of my vehicle. Apparently my car lights were interrupting their illegal tailgate on the side of the hotel right in front of the parking lot where I parked my car. I did tell the front desk upon entering the hotel and she had them removed immediately. Other than those out of place old misfits (they were not youngsters), I enjoyed my stay.

It was one of the worst places we have stayed. The pool had way to much chlorine in the pool. No towels in the pool area. No one ever answered the front desk phone. The door was closed to the breakfast area as my child tried to get a spoon.

This was the worst hotel experience my family and I have had ever. The only positive was the receptionist when we first arrived. She was very pleasant and patient. After that it was all downhill from there. Whenever you got off of the toilet it shook. As though it was lose. But that wasn’t the worst part. It was the NOISE! No words can describe how LOUD the individuals were above us. We were literally up all night and morning and my daughter was having anxiety because of the loud boo sing noises every time we would get two minutes of sleep. I called down to the receptionist desk multiple times from 11pm to 3am when we all finally had enough and left early. The receptionist during the night was such a rude guy. He acted as though I was the problem. All we wanted was to be able to sleep during those times and it was a very bad situation. Then we asked for somewhat of a discount or refund and they refused talking about they are privately owned. It is sad that customers aren’t appreciated. If you want sleep and you have anything important to do the next day maybe you should not risk staying here. I’ve traveled a lot and this by far was the most traumatic experience for my 3 children. They deserve to feel safe and be able to sleep in peace. What is the point in having “policies” when you only abide or enforce certain ones?

First off the hotel was very clean and our room which was a two queen suite was HUGE! The worst part of our experience was that the hotel pool was freezing cold. My 6 year old still went in there but her lips were blue after an hour. It was far too cold for my 4 year old and 1 year old. The first receptionist told me that their pool isn't hetaed but the gentleman today who was much nicer told me it should not be cold. Myself and others with children all left the pool unhappy as it was unusable. Maybe we just got unlucky but one of the elevators also broke down at the same time so the overall feeling was that the hotel felt run down. The staff were great. We were given a late check out with no issues and everyone was kind and friendly. My husband and I thought the breakfast was fantastic. My husband said some of the best omlettes he's ever had. They made fresh pastries too and there was a pancake machine. Lots of juices. They were very diligent with replacing breakfast items. Every time I went to request a top up of something they were already working on it.

We enjoyed our stay very much! Extremely clean and comfortable and the staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very good and we enjoyed the pool. Will definitely be returning to The Holiday Inn Express in Plymouth when we visit family, which is quite often.
