Comfort Inn & Suites Plainville-Foxboro

Check went well, staff was very polite and helpful. While we were leaving for dinner, we noticed about 25 families were getting handed prepackaged meals on an organized manner. During nite we had 2 fire alarm incidents one at midnight and one at 430am. While checking out. We were told this has been an ongoing problem as some of the long term residents were washing clothes wct in their rooms.

All the Boston hotels were sold out due to flight cancellations and local concerts. Expedia showed this was the only hotel within a hour of Boston so we booked it. Super bad impression when the hotel staff look like they just got out of bed and the elevator going to our room looked like it was never moped. I almost turned around to leave hotel but it was super late so we went to room and carpets were gross. If it was not 11:30 my kids and I would have left and booked another hotel towards providence.

It is a basic midrange property, but it is close to a concert facility, and was reasonably priced. Staff was very good, and free breakfast was included. The pool was out of service, so maybe not a great place for a family vacation, but good for a business stay or to attend events.

I've found Holiday Inn Express motels to be a great place to stay with my family in the past and the one in Plainville is no exception. The location is a bit out of the way, but was well worth the few minutes extra drive. Plus we had a great dinner just down the road at a local spot called "The Tavern". My only issue was that the beds were a little soft for me.

When I walked into the room, it smelled clean which is a HUGE plus for me. The complimentary breakfast was the best I’ve ever seen at a hotel; name brand, full sized breakfast products (coffeemate creamer, Quaker oatmeal, etc) and the eggs, pancakes, etc were decent as well. The only downfall was the staff-although friendly, no one was at the counter when I first arrived and had to wait; I noticed another customer walk in the next day and wait as well. Breakfast ends at 9:30, I would suggest to extend it later, especially since many guests stay after football games and don’t wake up til that time (there were a few families that were late and missed out on it!). Overall, I will be recommending/using Holiday Inn Express again!!
