Holiday Inn Express Boston North-Woburn, an IHG Hotel

All we heard when we arrived at the hotel was that our room type (2 queen beds) was overbooked (!) and already first-come-first-served. We had no option but to accept a one king bed room for our family of four. The room was terribly small - just fit for one king bed - and the bathroom was extremely small and old. There was NO microwave in the room which I’ve never seen in my life for Holiday Inn Express. It was really a terrible start of our Boston trip. I have been a big fan of Holiday Inn Express, but no more. I will undoubtedly look for other hotels next time.

My grandkids and I loved our stay here. The room was very clean, there was nothing broken, the staff was very courteous and friendly. And the Free Breakfast was bomb!!! The breakfast staff was especially helpful and nice. For someone who is OCD, and normally cleans my hotel room after I get there - I didn't have to at this one! I was very, very happy with this hotel stay. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here!!! And I will be back!!!

There is construction going on, and it is understandable that hey will need to work on it... but at 7 AM in the morning?!?!?! are you kidding me? I was woken up every day by banging and drilling. One of the nights there was banging and drilling outside my window as people were working on the chateu restaurant roof at like 11 at night. Ridiculous. I talked to the front desk and they assured me they would speak to a manager but clearly nothing was done because the next morning the banging and drilling continued. Additionally, the breakfast foods were just okay, but sometimes the meats did not seem fresh. I also found a STRING, yes a piece of strings, thick like a yarn in my scrambled eggs. it was cooked into them. I brought this to the attention of the lady working there and she immediately threw out the eggs and changed it out, but that left me with a sick feeling all day. The bed was also terribly stiff, I woke up with back pain every day. I was here for 5 nights for a work trip and this was my second time here. I don't know if there will be ta third.

The lodging was clean, wifi access was strong, and the complimentary breakfast was good. The walls were thin, and we were unfortunately next to a loud family who were noisy well past midnight. I reported the noise to the front desk, but they did not do anything.
