We were placed next to barking dogs and loud children and we're an older couple who have stayed at that location for years. And there is now a $7 parking fee where there are no other options for handicap parking

The staff members were very helpful, pleasant and responsive. I cannot say enough about how helpful, hardworking they were.
We were first given a room with a strong mildew/mold smell. The front desk reassigned us to an upgrade, a one bedroom suite and were apologetic. The halls were dark, and the wallpaper damaged. The suite had a full kitchen and was suitable for a longer stay, or for a family group. The room was spare and the decor was serviceable, at best. The room was very clean and the towels plush. However, the bathroom sink had a crack in it that crossed the whole sink. In addition the wallpaper in the bathroom was water stained. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was also serviceable, but convenient. —-For this, it as expensive. This hotel would be ok for family groups or possibly extended stay (if the long-term rate were less). For a short stay for a couple, there are much nicer hotels in the area at this price point.

we checked in and headed to our room. When we got there, the room was already occupied. The gentleman staying in the room we were trying to get into was not happy. We hauled all of our things back to the front desk to get another room. They did not have the type of room we had reserved available, so they put us in a different style room. Smaller bed, no change in price. Purposely booked this hotel because of the suite w/ the pull out coach and king size bed.
When it was time for the kids to go to bed, we pulled out the couch. There were not only no sheets or blankets on the bed, there were none in the room. We call down to the front desk to have them bring up sheets, blankets and pillows. The manager from the front desk brings up sheets a blanket and one pillow. He knew there were four of us in the suite and we needed bedding for two people.

The rooms were arranged like an efficiency apartment with a full kitchen and two flat screen TVs. The hotel was convenient to a mall and the interstate with one restaurant within easy walking distance. The rooms were quiet and very clean except for a couple of small stains on the carpet, which probably wouldn't come out. All staff were friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was a step above average. Our trip was a mini-vacation, but would also recommend the hotel for business travelers and kids would enjoy the pool. Our two-night stay was very pleasant and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

We loved the breakfast each morning. The printer for the computer to be used by guests was out of black ink. We were allowed to use another computer to print our boarding passes. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay with them again when we visit our family in West Springfield

My wife and I occasionally take the kids on little overnight trips just to give them a little out of the ordinary fun, usually a reward or gift of some sort. We look for hotels that are decent but not overly priced. The West Springfield, MA Marriott Residence fit the bill (priced around $100.00 - $150) This hotel was a little disappointing. We do expect some level of comfort and satisfaction because we spend most of our time in the hotel. The kids enjoy just hanging out and going in the pool. The main complaint is that the place is just a bit too outdated and tacky in appearance. There were minor but rather annoying problems abound: Three different light bulbs out in our room, a broken window casing, a non-existent free daily newspaper, and a constantly empty towel shelf in the pool area. The breakfast trays that seemed to be empty every time I looked over while eating made me feel that the staff was just too inattentive. I like baths but didn't take one because the tub surface was chipped and rusty. The place was pretty clean and the pool area was in good shape. Overall a bit overpriced and certainly below the standards I've come to expect from other Residence Inns, and similarly priced hotels.
