I have lots of family in New Orleans, and have spent a great deal of time in the city throughout my life. The Hotel Monteleone was by far my favorite hotel I have ever stayed in here. Incredibly convenient, nestled in the heart of the French Quarter, it makes enjoying the restaurants, bars, and shops amazingly easy.

My boyfriend and I had an amazing time. The people were very friendly from the time we arrived to the time we left. The only thing my boyfriend did not like is that the AC was not that good in his opinion. It was fine for me. I stayed in this hotel when I was a kid, so I know it is old. I thought it was great overall. Maybe add an option for a fan of some kind for those who are extra hot-natured.

Historical significance. Still family owned by the Monteleone family. Great employees. Beautiful and classy.

Beautiful Property. Although front desk wasn’t very friendly. My champagne and chocolates were delivered to the wrong room. It was a gift from my family. Hard to get a seat at the Carousel Bar so go early. The Bellman were excellent.

Loved this hotel. We came at the beginning of January. There were still beautiful Christmas trees throughout the lobby. Beautiful. The location of this hotel was ideal for walking throughout the French Quarter with close proximity to plenty of restaurants, shops, tour meetup sites. My kids appreciated the room service good after a few days of of restaurant foods. It was quick, tasty, and reasonably priced. We ventured down tot he Carousel bar on a Wednesday evening and found a great band playing. Drinks were strong. Would recommend this hotel, and definitely stay if ever traveling to NOLA again in the future.

Lovely historic hotel. Staff is so nice and makes you feel welcome. Carousel bar is a must do experience, Spa was relaxing, and the kids enjoyed the pool. There are great restaurants nearby too!

We always love staying here on our visits to NOLA! The location is perfect for getting around the french quarter, the staff is friendly and hospitable, the beds and pillows extremely comfy, the rooms clean with daily maid service, the carousel bar the moat fun (during the day, a little too main stream at night), the rooftop pool is great for adults and kids and the gym has just enough to get a decent workout in. I camt addoed the stay here during busy times so we come off season and its worth the price.

Great location for partying in the French Quarter, beautiful building, tiny rooms, way too crowded to enjoy. There's barely even room to stand in the bar area in the evenings, much less an open seat. Tourists come from all over to see the carousel spin but the hotel guests can't even get a chance to enjoy it themselves. The hotel restaurant has the BEST beignets in the entire city. We booked on Expedia and tried to pay to upgrade to a larger room but the front desk was rude about even the request. For four travelers, their double-double rooms are too small. Charming but best for couples or single people, would not recommend for a family.
