Its always a gamble when booking a hotel and the area is unknown to you. The surrounding blocks of this hotel are filled with a lot of homeless and loiters which makes it a little uneasy when walking with your little ones. Its about a 20 minute walk to the LS museum. The pool was under maintenance which was a main reason we booked- we had the option to cx our reservation but after driving all day we just wanted to get to our room and didnt know if any other hotels had availability. Also, she gave us free parking because of the inconvenience which was kind-The beds were smaller than advertised as queens but comfy. We were on the 6th floor and didnt have noise concerns-we slept with the air on so that may have covered any street noise. The staff were extremely friendly. They only stocked us with one bath towel for 4 people. Called to request more- after waiting an hour we just went down to the front desk to get them ourselves. Breakfast was good. Eggs, maple kielbasa, 2 types of waffles, biscuits, bagels, toast, fruit, cereal yogurt. Hotel seemed clean for the most part. I would not stay again because of the location.

Our family of four were in town for the national fencing tournament and this location was close enough to the convention center to walk. The lobby/dining area is large and comfortable and the breakfast options are good. The coffee was good. The in room workspace is well placed with a comfortable chair. The beds could have been a little more comfortable but no real complaints.

I booked this hotel for their pool option, called the week prior to arrival to verify the pool would be open and they said yes. Showed up and the pool was under construction. I had 5 upset children with no time left to find a new place to stay.

I guess due to covid they are still not cleaning rooms or picking up trash from the room. We stayed two nights. Our trash was over flowing and they only gave us 2 towels, 2 wash cloths. First world problems i know but its facts. They had an indoor pool but it was closed half the time because some kid messed that up. So hopefully that wont be an issue for the next people. Free breakfast was ok. There wasnt many healthy food options. ( fruit, yougurt ) A worker went somewhere and came back with a couple of apples.

We have always stayed in Hampton Inn and we love them they’ve been so clean the service has been wonderful the pillows the bed everything so comfortable nice neat and clean but on this occasion this had to be one of the worst experiences at a Hampton Inn we have ever had under the sinks were dirty there was fuzzball hairballs on the bathroom floor the pillows were completely flat it took most up until the night time for the air to be cool enough there was no coffee downstairs which we understand because of the covid 19 but they didn’t even offer coffee downstairs And on top of that there was hardly anyone most of the time at the service desk and the one manager lady seem to be Not dress in A professional manner. Guestwere outside with beer bottles drinking by car smoking it somehow seem like it could’ve been a family reunion as we checked out our bill was almost $50 higher which I showed the manager our confirmation and what it was for two days she goes oh that’s because we charge for parking now maybe because this hotel was downtown Louisville I don’t know but I have never ever had to pay for motel parking so this must be something new but very disappointing overall I was very upset with the stay and I don’t know if I will ever return to this motel again odds are not likely but I hope in the future that we never have to come across another Hampton Inn stay because we love your motels but I think management needs to check on these a little bit better .

This was a disappointing stay. From the time we checked-in, our family was in town for a wedding weekend, they informed us that the bar wasn't open, the pool wasn't open, the juice machines weren't hooked up, nothing available in the front store area in lobby, etc.
Then as family members got to their rooms... The A/C knobs were broken, the closet door fell off onto the ground, etc. I was calling this hotel, "the cursed hotel" within one day of our stay. None of the trash containers were emptied, and trash was even falling all over the entrance of the hotel on the outside areas. Not sure if they are short-staffed, but they need to step this place up quickly. Also, to make up for lost money during the pandemic, I feel they charge their parking fees now. This is downtown Louisville, not Chicago. We will not be returning to this hotel again.
