Our family really enjoyed the spacious, clean, and well-appointed suite. It was a quiet, comfortable stay.

Was very satisfied with our stay, the staff were very friendly and the hotel was overall very clean with beautiful decor. The only issue we really had was the air unit in our room was very loud and we had to turn it completely off during the night, but other than that we were pretty satisfied with everything. We dined at the restaurant located inside the hotel and the food was delicious. I wish we were staying more than one night, but my family and I will definitely stay again and for more than one night.

This is a very unique hotel! Very spacious and classy, updated decor! We were here for a wedding that was actually next door, but read all of the reviews and you guys, although more expensive were definitely well worth it! Our daughter m, grandkids and numerous family members were at another hotel with no refrigerator and you guys had a very classy refrigerator which included the freezer as well. This is always handy when traveling with medication‘s needing refrigerated. The only thing I would recommend is microwaves… loved the room layout with 2 large screen TVs.

We have the opportunity to visit many hotels and 5-star resorts, and We must say this was as close to a 5-star hotel as possible for a small Hotel. It is a small family-owned property nestled next to a very large hotel. I must admit we were drawn to the larger hotel at first sight and as we were preparing to reserve a room, we spoke to guest leaving the large hotel for their evening meal. The reservation clerk of the larger hotel stated they only had queen beds available which was the main cause of us considering the Elwood which we are so happy we stayed with this family. The Elwood is Friendly, Quiet and Clean with spacious room. We loved the signature red retro refrigerators in the rooms and the story about Elwood the Horse and its owner. The property has a restaurant on the first floor and again, we must say it was delightful. They had local entertainment which held up to the Kentucky vocal experience. We just can't say enough good things about this Hotel. If you're in the area, please consider staying with this Hotel family. You will not be disappointed. We weren't! We stayed one night the first visit and another night on our way back home which took us quiet a few miles off our scheduled trip. But it was well worth it to pull up in the parking lot knowing we were going to have an excellent experience and a comfortable night's sleep. as a disclosure, we do not normally leave reviews for hotels but felt this gem must be acknowledged for its charm.

Hotels.com lead me to this wonderful stay when i was in Lexington. The hotel itself is a wonderful boutique hotel. It was very easy to check in at the desk that seconds as the hostess station for the restaurant. The rooms themselves were super spacious and very clean. The kids really enjoyed the TV which had many channels. We ended up having dinner in the hotel restaurant which was okay, but I feel that the reviews online overhype it. Check out in the morning was effortless as well. I would definitely return in the future

The property has a nice appearance inside & out, clean, trendy decor.
The woman doing check in wasn't real knowledgable about any questions I asked from a local eatery to how to work the streaming service on the tv. Also, I tried to call the front desk a couple times & it just rang & rang. When I went downstairs a minute later, she was standing at the bar talking to what I think was another employee.
The bed just had one light blanket & no exta available that I could find. I didn't call the desk since I'd not gotten an answer the previous two times. The pillows were so thick I had a sore neck when I woke in the morning to the sound of doors opening & closing and children shouting so clearly, I had to check that no one was in the room. All in all it was not anywhere I would stay again or recommend to anyone.

Very spacious room for our family of 4. We stayed in the 2 room suite and the twin beds were very helpful to keep our kids from kicking each other all night.
My only suggestion would be to add some drapes to help with exterior noise reduction. The busy street and proximity to hospital made for some loud nights.

Fantastic stay. Staff was professional and courteous. The room was clean and hip. Will not only stay there again in the future but will recommend to family and friends.
Only recommendation, hot water from the faucets/shower was way too hot.

Think of a love child between a Motel 6 and the Ritz. This is the Elwood. Some parts are really nice. Some parts are cheap. I paid for its largest, best room. The room was big, kind of. Odd though. The shower was difficult to use. No charging ports at the table/desk. No glasses, seriously. Even cheap motels have glasses; not here. OK closet space. Clean. Helpful staff. Self check in is odd and useless because everyone needs help, so what is the point, other than to confuse.

Room was great. The bed was comfortable and there was a separate eating area with frig and microwave. Everything was clean and modern. It was self check in and check out which was new to me but staff was helpful. You have to take luggage in through the restaurant which seemed awkward. You access the hotel part with your room key. The only downfall was that in the three days we were there we were never left with new coffee cups. I would stay there again and would recommend it to others. It is probably a better fit for couples , not families. Also it is an easy drive to downtown Lexington.
