Front Desk day Employee was very difficult.
Room carpets are awful in all six rooms my family stayed in. We have stayed there before and had no issues. The new employees and conditions of the hotel are atrocious and rude. We will never stay there again.

First, the good. They allow dogs and there was a very nice pool and hot tub that we enjoyed. Otherwise, we didn't have a good experience. We tried three different times to come to the front desk to get our keys coded, but they could only get one key to work at a time so we gave up. For a family in a room that sleeps four, only two towels were provided and there were no towels at all in the pool area. The breakfast was only toast, bagels, cereal, and waffles. All carbs. No meat, dairy, eggs, or fruit. They didn't even offer jelly or jam for the toast. They had one coffee container that guests, including myself, were constantly waiting on as it kept running out and they were slow brewing more. Overall, I would not stay here again unless other options are unavailable.

The pool was FREEZING and staff did nothing nor comped our room a little bit for the inconvience. I had a very diappointed child. The room was ok.

Nice family runs it, mostly clean but it’s just dated and worn. Breakfast was a total disappointment though.

We stayed at this hotel 9 years ago and it was a lovely experience so we were looking forward to the same experience. NOT SO! The facility shows much wear and lack of a good cleaning in the public areas and in the room we stayed in. When we first entered our king suite we noticed particles of dark colored "gunk" on the white bedspread. An employee came up to replace the bedcover quickly. Upon inspection we believe it was chunks of unpleasant particles blowing out of the air conditioner register beside the bed! Sure something we wanted to breathe in while in the room! We had to call the front desk again after entering the bathroom because there were no bath towels in our room. They were delivered quickly but they were pretty threadbare. Since we had a suite with a full refrigerator, cupboards, a counter and kitchen sink, I thought there would be at least some bowls, plates, silverware or glasses -- NONE! Cupboards and drawers were bare. There was one paper cup in the room beside the coffee pot. We called the front desk about 10:30 pm when we tried to go to bed because there was at least one child running around in the room above us and it was noisy. Nothing changed. Half an hour later we called the room number that would correspond to that room. After 9 rings the phone was answered, but no one spoke. A female did answer my questions and confirmed a child in the room. I asked for quiet and she got rude. Breakfast was very limited. Coffee was awful!

Generally a good place for an overnight stay. Kids love the pool and the breakfast. Only issue is the website states they have free infant cribs but when we asked for one they charged us extra for it.

The room was clean, the AC was cold, and the beds were comfortable. The hotel has a small indoor pool and hot tub, and a decent breakfast buffet. Ellis sits right between Wakeeney and Hayes (Kansas) and we found at this hotel has a better price point than those in the nearby cities. We’ve stayed here before - it is a great halfway point between Denver and Kansas City - super convenient right off I-70. For us, it is an economic place to get some shut eye, allows the kid to burn off pent up energy with some pool time, and a good breakfast to get us going in the morning.

We always stop here coming and going on our summer vacay. The property has deteriorated over time but they are finally addressing under the new management. The staff is very friendly and our room was clean. It is right off the highway which makes it easy to get to. The bonus is the DQ across the street! The hotel is family friendly too!!

The room was advertised as two queen beds. They’re definitely not queens - smaller.
The workers seemed more content with being on their cell phones than helping or working.
My toilet clogged up with toilet paper. They refused to fix it. Their only solution was to give me another room, but my family had already unpacked our luggage. When I mentioned this they were just going to give me a second room so I could use that toilet and keep the luggage in the original. I finally asked if they could just bring me a plunger so I could fix it myself. They did that. The brought it up to my room, handed it to me, and waited for me to finish using the plunger.
As far as the bed situation, I told them we booked the hotel thinking we were getting queen beds. They offered a rollaway, but I had to go get it and bring it back down when I was done with it.
The phone in the room didn’t work throughout the entire stay. I had to walk down to the front desk or use my cell phone for anything I needed.
The best things about the stay were the free root beer floats from A&W and leaving.
