Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Des Moines Airport

The front desk was very courteous. I was walking with a kid and the clerk came from behind the counter to help me with the luggage bug. Nice little continental breakfast. Although the sausage gravy was a little bit cold. Pool was clean exercise room was clean. Hallways were clean. Friendly and courteous staff.

We stay here every year when we visit family, which says something positive. of the highly rated hotels, this is one of the least expensive. Clean rooms, friendly staff, prompt airport shuttle, decent breakfast.

Wasn't please with front desk service. When I first got there. I was preparing my granddaughter a gift that included balloons. Front desk seen me bringing in balloons and immediately said you can't have a party in the room. I said mama am not. It's a congratulations gift for my granddaughter because she moved up in her gymnastics class. She wasn't with me (granddaughter). It was just me and my husband. No kids was even there. Second thing is they accused me of smoking in room and said they wasn't going to give me my deposit back. I explained to the guy that was saying this. I don't smoke and haven't ever smoked. Explain to him that I couldn't even be around smoke because I have asthma and it would immediately make me have an asthma attack. Not to even mention that I almost passed away from double pneumonia 4 years ago in both lungs. So then he changed his mind and gave me my $200 cash deposit back. Those 2 employees need to check their customers service skills. They are not friendly employees. Because of their actions. I will never stay at this hotel ever again.

The rooms were clean. The beds were very comfortable. I would recommend this place to my family and friends. I would stay here again.

Close to family. Breakfast was ok, not spectacular.

Very nice hotel and convenient to get back and forth to my family who lived close.

Very difficult to sleep, could hear neighbors watching sports and teenage kids running in hallways till past normal bedtime. Thin walls.

I did not stay at this hotel because they were trying to make me pay them $200 extra dollars since I needed to use cash and the hotel was very dusty and roach motel looking inside and out. The Staff yelled at me and was very rude to me and my minor child. Due to not feeling safe in the overall environment and after dealing with the horrible hospitality the hotel staff gave me, I went to another hotel. The Days in charged me $159 to my card although I left their hotel before 3:20pm. They say they charged me because I canceled my reservation after 4pm which is a blatant lie. I will never return to Iowa after being treated so poorly upon arriving at that hotel. That was my first time in the State and it was a very stressful encounter to say the least. I will say thank you to my expedia online agent because I made a complaint with her about the hotel and she tried to get my money returned to me and followed up with the hotel for me.

The staff was rude. I spoke to the guy at the front desk to let him know we were going to stay aother night, he said ok. Then i got a call almost 2 hours later saying checkout was at 11 and if i was not there in the next 15 min they were going to put my families stuff out! We were 25 min away, waiting in line to get onto a ride at adventureland park! When i explained that to the person on the phone he just laughed said ok, see you in 15 min then hung up on me! Such an inconvenience having to drive round trip just to enjoy the rest of the day with my family all because they needed to see my id and debit card that they had already seen! Not to mention people around us were slamming their doors throughout the night and the side doors didnt even lock.

Overall decent place to stay on the fly. Cheap price. Clean sheets and towels. Place is under renovations. Pods in parking lot blocking spaces up front. The “luxury “ breakfast was ok. The eggs were literally frozen and needed to be heated up in a microwave on styrofoam plates. They did have. Waffle maker for my kid. Good place for the price.
