Quality Inn Effingham

There was alge or something green in the standing water next to the pool. The room was musty. My kids asked why it smelled like smoke.

The place is great we have been going every year just to get away and relax for a couple nights. Unfortunately this time it wasn’t much relaxing as there were kids running down the halls at 5am but that is definitely not the hotels fault.

We enjoyed our stay very much! The beds were very comfy and was very quiet making for a great rest! The room was very clean and well appointed! Would definitely recon mend to family and friends!

Where do I start the entire hotel Smell like weed the entire time we were there. The pool area had tools and extension cords plugged in all over including by the pool that we moved our self because we had young kids playing in the pool. O then we had an employee come in and tell our kids to keep the water in the pool because they were jumping in. O and to make the stay even better we found a cockroach as we were leaving. Will not be staying here again

I would avoid this hotel at all costs. We rented one king room with a sofa bed that said it sleeps 4. On arrival we found the sofa bed was only a twin. We were told all they could do was rent us a roll-a-way for an additional $15/night. Why should I pay for their mistake?? Also, the room was so cramped there wouldn’t have been room for it. Front desk staff had a very poor attitude, acting like we were just a nuisance. Customer service is obviously not their game. The room smelled like smoke even though it says it’s a non smoking facility. The hallway smelled heavily of pot. We also rented two double-bed rooms. It should be noted that those are full beds and not queens. My kids noticed spots on the sheets. We were supposed to stay 4 nights, but decided the condition of the hotel and the lack of help from hotel staff would make our overall trip unpleasant. We went to another hotel in town and didn’t stay here any of the nights. The great experience we had at the new hotel really highlighted how poorly run this one is.

Stayed here after a trip to Casey with my kiddo. We had a rough year and needed to make some good memories. We travel with our dog and their pet fee is super small and affordable. We went down and swam. It was quiet and peaceful, albeit a little chilly. The bed was comfy and warm and the room/hall was quiet.

Easy to access from the interstate. Indoor pool was nice for the kids. Clean & spacious rooms. Renovations are going on, but definitely improving the property. The guy that checked us in was very friendly and helpful. Check out, no one was at the counter with a sign "helping a guest". That sign stayed up for over an hour as people were waiting to check out. Most people laid they keys down and left.

My husband and I stayed here while traveling to visit family. The staff was friendly and the room was comfortable. Breakfast was good (fruit, bagels, oatmeal, cereal, muffins, danishes, waffles, yogurt, scrambled eggs, sausage, toast, coffee, 3 different juices, and milk). The only negative we have about the room is that is had a faint smell of cigarette smoke. We notified the front office and they said they would take care of it and we would not be held accountable. We would stay here again.
