Holiday Inn Effingham, an IHG Hotel

Very clean, but definitely could use some updates. Our coffee maker in the room didn’t work but we were able to get some in the lobby. Grateful for the convenience of a suite with a pull out bed for a family of 4 with one Tasmanian devil who will kick the stuffing out of anyone in the bed with her.

We were traveling for spring break and Decided to stop here because of the great reviews. We completely agree! Very clean and comfortable stay. The restaurant at the hotel was the perfect place for a drink and some dinner with our kids.

Took a hot minute to figure out the room temp situation but then we got the room temp adjusted and were fine. Rooms need some updates but overall cleanliness ok. Staff friendly and restaurant lady i recognized still there from last oct which speaks volumes if staff stay. The only thing i didnt like was our 3 yr old cut herself (nothing to do with the hotel everything to do with being 3) and i couldnt get hold of anyone at front desk to inquire about first aid kit. But other than that...good place to stay with family...easy access...safe area...walmart right across the street along with food places if you dont want to eat in the hotel restaurant (which is nice by the way).

I have stayed here a number of times for work. This time, I stayed with my family on our way home. Great hotel.

Friendly front desk service. Check in fast and simple. Nice stay all together. Hot tub didnt work but the kids still loved swimming.

The rooms were great and spacious ! I thought the beds were amazing, kids said the pullout bed was very uncomfortable and felt like they were sleeping on wires. Only thing I would change is a bathroom fan in the bathroom. It gets very steamy in there when you shower.

We had a great experience!! Clean rooms, great (clean) pool. The breakfast was amazing (definitely add it when you book)! One inconvenience was getting a call from the front desk at 11:40 pm over a minuscule check in question, but they were having issues when we checked in so it wasn’t out of left field, just not great getting a phone call while 4 kids are sleeping.
