Comfort Inn & Suites Macon West

Not a horrible to stop and rest on a long road trip. The hotel was average. The breakfast wasn’t the best but not a huge deal to my family anyways.

We needed a place last minute, budget-friendly to rest on our family trip. This place worked perfectly! Nothing fancy, but it was clean and comfortable. Super sweet lady (Tene?) at the front desk.

Beds were super comfy with soft cloud-like linens and pillows, ac was nice and cold, room was cozy and roomy, hallways smelt alittle like Indian food, breakfast could have had more options… but not bad, tiny bottles of shampoo/conditioner (but you can get more), pool was heavily chlorinated and burned my kids eyes just being in there. Overall I would stay here again, clean and comfy and price was reasonable.

The front desk employee (Melvina) was rude and unfriendly, not suited for interaction with weary travelers. She got mad at me because she was unable to see the writing on my driver's license. It is very clear. Every person I've given it to on this family vacation, besides Melvina, has been able to easily read it. Get glasses and a welcoming attitude. Better yet, replace Melvina with someone who wants to be there and be a smiling face to weary travelers.

When I walked in to check in there was water dripping from the ceiling into a bucket. The lady working the front counter answered her FaceTime call while checking me. Upon entering our room there was old pieces of ground beef on the dresser. We then went to the pool with our three kids. There was dirty paper towel next to the hot tub and a panty liner on the floor. There was a bandage in the bottom of the hot tub and clumps of hair floating around. The next morning we went to breakfast and the woman who worked overnight came up and said very rudely “That baby can’t be in here with no shoes on.” My husband took the baby and I got food for my other two kids. There weren’t any eggs left, so my husband asked if they they were going to bring more eggs out. Her response was “what do you think? Breakfast is until 9 am.” My husband asked her why she kept talking to us so rudely and then she raised her voice and began arguing with us. She told us “we could leave.” We asked her what happened to customer service and her response was “it went away with the pandemic.” I have never written a review and wouldn’t have if this woman wasn’t so rude to us. I was more than willing to not say a word about the cleanliness but after our experience at breakfast I had to write a review to let others know how awful it was.

We absolutely loved it. Very family friendly, extremely clean, and the breakfast was superb. Loved the pool and jacuzzi. Will definitely stay again!
