The staff at the Starling is incredible. They were so friendly and accommodating for my family and made sure we had everything we needed. All spaces were clean, trendy and comfortable. The pool was very nice as well. Love the location, just a short walk to piedmont park and the Atlanta botanical gardens. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

We booked because we could use our hotel rewards and it was close to Dragon Con. The hidden fees were a surprise. I always plan for an incidental charge - its $100 per night, so be prepared for that.
Parking - they only have Valet parking which is $75 per night, or the garage next door which charges around $60 a day, but if you go in and out, it charges you each time you leave. We went with valet but we stayed 2 nights, so thats an extra $150 we did not plan on spending.
Breakfast buffet - the exact same breakfast you get at other hotels for free - you will pay $25 per person. They don't tell you that when you go in and sit down. They also added gratuity for me and my kids.
No microwaves or fridges in the room we stayed in (double)
Overall the initial price would have been fine for this hotel, but after adding almost $300 in fees for a 2 night stay - use that money to stay somewhere nicer.

Our stay was nice and comfortable, the staff was accommodating and friendly. The variety of food choices in and around area were excellent. We are recommending to friends and family who visited AtL. See you on our next visits for sure.

Staff were very friendly and everything was clean. The biggest problem we had was that the beds are super hard. I thought it was just my old bones complaining, but even my kids were sore. A few fixtures needed repair, but it didn't affect its functionality just its look. The pool was nice and warm as well. If you want a lively place this is it.

I traveled to Atlanta for my birthday with my significant other and a few other couples. We first stayed at the W for the first night and switched to the Starling where my sister was staying. The Starling is a beautiful hotel with a nice bar and plaza with shopping and eateries. I love the modern feel and the cool elevator technology. I only have two small complaints... one being the plumbing. I was brushing my teeth with running water when all of sudden a loud humming sound startled me and the entire room started shaking until I literally turned the water off. Lastly, we had heard that the pool was a good time and were hoping for a vibe similar to the W, which had a rooftop pool and bar with a DJ from 12-8. Unfortunately we showed up to the Starling pool and it was literally NOTHING outside of a few guests and kids. No biggie. Now we know the W is where the pool party is. I'd definitely stay again and hope they host a few pool entertainment events in the future.

I recently stayed at the Starling Hotel and had a mixed experience during my stay. Upon arrival, the hotel appeared lovely and promising. The ambiance was welcoming, and the staff at the front desk were friendly and attentive.
However, my impression quickly changed on Saturday when the hotel seemed to transform into a club-like atmosphere. There were kids, teens, and adults present who were loud, rowdy, and inconsiderate. It was disheartening to see people throwing trash on the ground and witnessing sloppy drunken behavior in public areas.
Despite the disappointing behavior of some guests, I must commend the hotel staff for their exceptional service. They remained professional, accommodating, and did their best to address any concerns that arose. Their attentiveness and willingness to assist made a positive impact on my overall experience.
One aspect that stood out was the hotel's aesthetics. When the hotel was clean and well-maintained, it truly showcased its beauty. The interior design was stunning, and the overall atmosphere was elegant and inviting.
While my stay at the Starling Hotel had its ups and downs, the exceptional staff and the hotel's gorgeous appearance when properly maintained were the saving graces of my experience. I hope that the management takes steps to address the issue with rowdy guests to ensure a more peaceful and enjoyable stay for future visitors.

The stay at this hotel was a complete disaster! During check-in the front desk employee was so distracted with other patrons entering the hotel that he could and did not answer any of my questions correctly. He was completely preoccupied. We called down to the front desk three times for extra linen and it was never brought to our room. We asked if we could come down to get it and they said it wasn't at the desk and we had to wait. They never brought it until we called a fourth time the next morning. They were extremely rude and unprofessional. The room had a very musty smell that made my family nauseous. We only found relief when we put the AC on the coldest setting and froze most of our stay. It smelled as if the carpet and curtains had never been cleaned. The ceilings were dirty, the doors were damaged and not properly repaired, and the pole in the shower was broken. We were skeptical about calling about the other issues because of how poorly we were treated when asking for additional towels and wash cloths. It appears they put lipstick on a pig because what they do on the inside does not reflect what they portray on the outside!

I woke up the day of my reservation to discover my child was extremely sick. I contacted Expedia to try to cancel or change the date of my reservation, which they were willing to do as long as the hotel allowed it. Expedia tried for 24 hours to contact the hotel, and staff kept telling them their system was down and they needed to call back. Finally, the next day the hotel told them I was ineligible because they weren’t able to process my request due to it being after the penalty period. So I lost $250 because their system was down and they failed to process my request in a timely manner. This was previously my favorite hotel in Atlanta and I have stayed here many times before, but I will NEVER book a stay with this hotel again after this absolutely atrocious customer service experience. Hotel management should be ashamed.

The location, decor and what interaction I had with staff was really was nice for the most part. I was, however, hoping for more luxe when it came to the bed, pillows and bedding. Not what I expected. The valet took a considerable amount of time even when it wasn’t busy AT ALL. Wether or not your there overnight or an extended amount of time, when you’re paying for a service such as valet, you hope to receive the best. The head of valet and most of the staff I came in contact with were really kind and helpful. A couple of encounters could’ve been better in terms of customer service, but sadly, anymore, you almost have to lower your expectations in these cases. Lastly, I tried for room service twice and they weren’t staffed to take it. Part of the amenities you’re paying for to stay there. It was trendy, has a really cool atmosphere, and the location was all there. Though there are some things I’d change and prefer be done differently, it’s still a cool place. (Definitely clean and kept.)
I would consider staying there again if the price were right and I’d recommend giving it a shot to friends and family. I do appreciate those who helped try and make it the best experience for me.

I love this hotel, and the staff makes you feel like family. The rooms are very nice and the location is perfect to get around midtown. There is a dj on Saturday night to make it easy just to chill at the hotel if you like. On the 2nd floor there's a place called Politon Row which has plenty of small restaurants to eat at. There is also a large bar in that same area. The one thing I do not want to forget is to give the guy at the front desk his props. He went above and beyond, making sure my wife enjoyed her surprise trip to Atlanta. I believe his name was Warlon when I checked in on December 17th around noon. Great job sir!!! We will definitely be back soon as our go to hotel!!
