Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Atlanta Airport North

Place was really dirty, we saw 2 roaches in the room and 1 piece of female underwear was left on the floor. Property description mentioned they had a baby crib available but that was not true. When attempted to cancel the property denied so because we had already checked in, perfect business model since they don't have to keep it clean for the guests and we still ended up paying for a place we didn't stay in (booked another hotel close by)

Great service. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would recommend to friends and family.

Sonia at check in was the best thing about my stay. It was downhill from there. I was up early for meetings and back late so I declined room service during my three night stay. There was always an issue finding a parking spot when returning make late from my meetings. Over the course of my stay I found two different human hairs different from my own. This made me question the cleanliness of all surfaces In the mostly clean appearing room. Disgusted but exhausted I never called to report. I did have to call the desk Sunday, Easter Sunday, when the 5th floor took on the aroma of a 70s dormitory. They sprayed something to try to neutralize the smell but it had already gotten into my room. I quickly packed and checked out hoping I didn’t smell like marijuana when heading to meet my family for Easter dinner. I’ll find a different hotel next trip to ATL.

My family and I were charged a smoking fee hours after check out. None of my family members smoke. Hotel mentioned they found a pack a cigarettes and a lighter. We mentioned that we saw those items but they were in the trash, they then proceeded to say we should have notified them. We weren’t aware that we had to notify hotel personnel of items in the trash. Also must mention that walking through the halls to our room smelled like marijuana and cigarette smoke. Additionally, there was no air in the sitting area as we were told the vent was broken, so needless to say, our kiddos didn’t sleep as comfortable as they would have liked. It’s sad because we’re being abused and penalized for something we didn’t do.
