The Thunderbird was beautiful & very family friendly. I love how there are two pools & kids in one, adults in the other. The music was fantastic.

Love this property! It’s definitely family friendly. I will be returning with my family. It’s right on the beach and the amenities are awesome! Live music, game area, seating area, two pools. The rooms are up to date and beds are comfortable.

I always love staying in Treasure Island. First time at the Thunderbird, although as a child I dreamt about staying here. It was the light up sign for me!
I appreciate the old school, yesteryear vibe. I didn’t expect much, after all, I know it’s old. As a whole it was great! They have done a nice job of keeping it up to date. I can only say one thing and that is, the floors need to be mopped. Coming in with wet, damp feet, mixed with the floors, and my feet would be black on the bottom. I didn’t like that. We also had to sweep the first day, because there was SO much sand on the floors. It was just dirty, so we kept a towel on the floor to wipe our feet.
My main complaint is with the front desk staff. I had two different women give me so much uncalled for attitude. As I told my husband you can’t even have a conversation with service people, because they automatically go into attack mode. Not listening to me at all, just talking over me. My daughter was with me and she said, wow that woman hates her job. I just don’t understand that level of unprofessionalism. I would lose my job if I acted like that.

Came for some family time and the experience really exceeded my expectations. Front desk was super friendly and helpful with my questions. Too bad the restaurant wasn’t open yet but plenty of restaurants walking distance. Sloppy joes and R Bar were the two we went to and food was amazing and great prices. Just all around great place to go I’d love to go again. It was my daughter’s 21 bday and both bars out back had the nicest and welcoming bartenders . The room was very spacious and the kitchenette was bigger than expected. I brought dishes incase and they had dishes and pans everything you need. Just well worth the price of the room.

Hotel is budget friendly and on the beach.
The water is a bit of a distance.
The pools are awesome and clean! You have to get towels from the front desk to use at the pool. The front desk was not very friendly when asking for towels. Towards the end of our trip we figured out to ask housekeeping for towels. Rene at housekeeping was super fun and high energy. Chipper gal that was very polite. Front desk staff could use some customer service training.
Plenty of good places to eat nearby. Britt’s across the street is very good. Foxy’s is good. We went down by John’s pass to Crabbys and it was good. Or the Conch as well.
Precious was wonderful! So nice and courteous.
Publix and Walgreens are right there to get some groceries for our room. We had a small fridge and the room was stocked to use dishes of all kinds.
The rooms are a little dated but were clean! Loved the music by the Tiki Bar! Music does play from 12-8pm so if you don’t want loud music make sure to get a huge away from the main pool. We loved the music.
Tons of things to do. Walk the concrete path and watch a sunset, kids area in the sand with toys, ping pong, corn hole game, etc.
We have been there twice now. We would go back.

Great location on Treasure Island. Parking could be tight if you were not back early you might not get a spot. The microwave did not work in our room and the fridge also did not work, froze my sodas and they blew up all over. For $400/night they should replace these. Great live music. Did not like how everyone reserved the pool chairs with towels and then never sat there. Also had to check out beach towels each time but they did not track them checking back in so I am unclear why that happened. Also there were always kids in the hot tub even though it said adults only. It was ok. We will probably not stay at this resort again.

Quick couple days to start spring break. Front desk staff (Hi Michelle) were great!
Having water and coffee ready all day was perfect and kids enjoyed grabbing ice cream from the lobby store. Loved the live entertainment and the frozen drinks from the tiki bar. They are continually working to improve the property and its location and price was perfect for what we wanted. Hope to make our way back another time.
Only thing to note was the small - dare I say tiny- bathroom. If you are over 5 10” - showering has to be next to impossible. No exhaust fan either.
