Avid Hotels Orlando International Airport, an IHG Hotel

The place was great, very clean and very comfortable. The room have floor tiles so don’t have a smell of carpet. I’m considering to staying there the next family trip. Have a gas station walk distance and 5 minutes to airport. Good price, nice breakfast.

Very accommodating. We had to booked the room for some family members who missed their flights and they were coming from overseas. And everything worked out perfectly!!!

Fabulous stay, I felt like I was at the Hilton. It was clean, the beds were so comfortable, I slept like a baby, we love our experience so much we rebooked it on our way back from our cruise. We were originally going to book our second hotel at Cabana Bay Beach Resort, but we loved our relaxing and convenient experience so much we booked it again. Excellent.

This location smells SO GOOD! Our family travels often so yeah its normal for a nice hotel to smell fresh and clean. However, this location smells like paradise. The lobby, the rooms, the bed sheets, even the hand soaps. Literally everything smells extraordinary at this location!!!! Our 1 night stay was great. The only thing that could have been a little better was the breakfast options. Heated Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches aren't for everyone so I was surprised that it was the only warm food served.

Waited an hour for a shuttle that the front desk clerk told me was on the way, eventually had to get Uber for my family. Once we got to the hotel, our prepaid reserved rooms had been given away to other guests. Thank God for a sister property that took us in

For this hotel to be 5 years old, I would say it’s “MEDIOCRE.” If you’re on a budget, this IHG hotel is for you. The hotel property lot is shared with Cambria and Holiday Inn which means parking is LIMITED. There is a 7Eleven convenience store and a car wash just a few feet away. The pictures that you see are exactly of the rooms and the lobby….nothing fancy. With that being said, let me share my experience. A family of 3 who stayed 4 nights. Reservation made a month prior to arrival. 1 day before arrival, called hotel for confirmation and to see if we could check in 5 hours earlier. This was a NO because they were booked solid (on a Tuesday) and our room had not been assigned. We were able to check in a little after 2pm. There is 25.00 deposit that you must pay before check in. We were assigned ROOM 210. The room was not clean to my liking. The floor needed to be swept. There were long hair on some of the guest towels and the bed’s duvet. The rooms are small and the walls are thin. No liners in the trash cans. We saw a few bugs crawling on the floor. The room refrigerator did not get very cold. Ice machine/bucket on 1st floor. The ironing board did not have a cover pad, we used a bath towel as a substitute. No closet space, just wall hooks. There is daily housekeeping. Breakfast every morning with a variety. Morning front desk staff pleasant and helpful especially Alex. Don’t think I will stay at another Avid. I will stick with the REPUTABLE/FAMILIAR Hotel Chains.

This hotel will probably be my go to for all my trips to Orlando from now on. We loved it! Their front desk agent, Alex, was amazing and so accommodating when we checked in. The rooms and overall property was clean, stylish, well kept, and, affordable. We had a 2 queen bedroom and the beds were super comfortable and soft. There was a mini fridge in the room and a microwave in the lobby area. This made it keeping food easy, especially, traveling with a toddler. The free breakfast was convenient too! Lastly, I loved the outdoor and indoor seating. Coming from a cold climate state, I enjoyed being able to sit outside and bask in the sunshine and warm weather.

Worst shuttle service ever. They only have one (slow) shuttle and not enough capacity to handle the number of guests. The shuttle driver should be fired. We waited for 45 minutes (after calling the hotel to ask about the shuttle) and were told “he’s on his way back.” When he arrived he allowed another family who had just gotten in line on board because he had their names on a piece of paper, and didn’t seem to care that others had been waiting longer. He threw massive attitude and just told everyone else to “call the hotel!” and that he’ll be back in 30 minutes. We ended up taking an Uber to the hotel only to find him sitting outside smoking. What a terrible service.

I did not like the child like finishes in the room I was not told how to operate lights since this is a new system to me personally, I was in the dark other than the bathroom light check in although the person was attractive, she was not interested in my stay

This property is good for a family trip, is close to airport, clean and has a accessible parking. Also breakfast is included. Will stay again!
