Check-in started off with not getting the room I reserved. My family and I ended up having to split up and stay in separate rooms. We were initially given adjoining rooms but the adjoining room had someone in it when we went to open the door. That customer was not happy. We ended up with another room down the hallway. I didn’t make a big deal out of it because that’s not my style. However, we were not charged for the other room and our early check-in fee was waived. It was a lot of back and forth but in the end it worked out. At breakfast the next day we arrived 45 minutes prior to the end and they had no waffle mix - and weren’t planning to put out more. This was disappointing because it was the one thing my oldest son was looking forward to eating. The breakfast overall was good, nice basic selection of items. The staff was very apologetic for the initial mistake, always kind, never confrontational. I’m not sure if her name was Mary Ann or Anshela. But she was great. I would probably stay here again.

Bedroom tv drawer was not secured to wall. Drawer flipped over and almost crushes my littler kid. I asked staff to correct safety issue to prevent accidents with future guests.

We loved the hotel and Surfside neighborhood location. Easy to walk around, but not as busy or congested like other parts of Miami Beach. The grocery, shops and restaurants nearby were a plus. We particularly love the Residence Inns because they include breakfast and beverages in your daily stay, which is great for families and takes the guess work out of going out for breakfast each morning. Stay also included access to the Surfside Community Center, which was a block away on the beach and had great pools and amenities (like slides and games) for kids. Would definitely stay there again!

Nice, clean property in a safe area. Easy walk to grocery store and restaurants. We picked because we needed enough bedding for 3 people, and Residence Inn is a great option for families. We enjoyed the rooftop pool, and they gave two complimentary beverages per day. We didn’t spend much time on the beach, but it was very close to the hotel.

Very poor cleaning, dirty rooms, poor breakfast. Service below the average level. Sofa for kids was almost dead. Flat very dirty. Kitchen staff, like forks and spoons are disaster. Wouldn’t recommend that location to stay except their location. We’re club members of Marriott and got very upset with Hotel which has Marriott name

I enjoyed my stay. The hotel and room was very clean, and I came back to my room everyday with fresh towels and my bed made.
The hotel charges $30 a day hotel fee for the amenities and honestly the perks of the fee are not worth it. You get two free drinks a day, cheap wine, beer or soda. It would have been better if they gave you an option of a cocktail. Also included you get access to the pool, which is decent, the gym which has two treadmills and a couple of dumbbells, very weak. And they give you access to a community pool a block down that is more for children, and free beach chairs which are very cheap. Other hotels, have nice lounge chairs for the beach with an umbrella. This one gives you a cheap chair to walk over. No thank you. The parking is $40 a day. I’m staying at your hotel and you’re gonna charge me for parking, really?
The $30 hotel fee should just be included, for the stuff they “give” you. But the hotel itself is very nice, and the room was clean.
Breakfast was decent, it’s a small corner in the lobby that you have a mob of people to hassle around and we all know how rude people can get. So it’s probably best to go right when they open before everyone else wakes up.

Parking is $40 a day! There is plenty of public parking close by, use it! and $30 a day for beach chairs, 2 drinks at the bar and use of community center. Breakfast is nice if you can deal with rude people pushing your childrwn out of the way.

The hotel is comfortable and safe. I slept very well. I was there for work travel though there were many families. Nice breakfast (free) worked well for me -and I grabbed a yogart and apple and greens to enjoy for lunch. I was able to walk to the beach across the street every morning to enjoy my breakfast before work. Nice bathroom- and kitchen in the studio. Great desk and chair for remote work. The pool was nice. Two complementary beer/wine was perfect for after work happy hour. The neighborhood was quiet but was close to many Miami destinations. The beach was the best, the paths for walking, running and riding a bike down the beach. It was lovely- I would stay there again.
