I had to stay 3 nights due to having plaque radiation for eye melanoma so I could not leave my room. My partner had to stay 3 feet away to not get reactions from the radiation plaque. The room was very comfortable, I really have no complaints except where the tv is located. It is not at the end of the beds like a typical room, it is kind of kiddy cornered from the beds. The breskfast was hot and plentiful with hot and cold foods. My bf brought me up a nice breakfast each morning. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows. M bf slept on the couch and he said it was not too bad. The bathroom was broke up into 2 rooms: toilet and sink in one and sink and shower/bath in othe ithrr. Although I was stuck in the room the entire time in Miami, it was a very comfortable room to quarantine in.

The hotel restaurant was surprisingly good. We had the chicken soup and white rice, plus the continental breakfast is excellent for traveling with small children. Unfortunately there is nothing walking distance and the lobby didn’t sell pull ups - I forgot them and was traveling with my 4yr old. Considering it was just overnight stay for a cruise the next day - I couldn’t run to a pharmacy or nearby 7-11 because there wasn’t one. This place is fine if you don’t need to leave or you have a car to get around. The front desk was average. The restaurant was the highlight.

We stayed here because a family member was having surgery at UM. The neighborhood is sketchy but the staff were very nice and helpful. The rooms clean and food was available. We used the paid parking but knew in advance what to expect for the convenience of being so close to the hospital. The experience was better than expected.

I would not recommend this hotel! Weird part of town, the homes all around it have bars on the windows. We checked in late with tired kids in tow and had terrible front desk service. The desk clerk was eating gummy worms and flirting with someone and wouldn’t check my family and I in. After waiting for ages I found out the person sitting nearby was also a hotel worker who could have checked us in but never got up until we’d been waiting more than 20 min. The room was not very nice, felt sort of dirty and old and the other guests were sort of loud. Just not a nice place. Look elsewhere. Bathroom door didn’t even close!

There should be a shuttle from Fort Lauderdale Airport even at $8 a person. There should not be any cost to Miami Port. Otherwise the hotel fit the needs of our family of 6. Plenty of space in our room! Continental breakfast was great.
