My family stays at the Mayfair Hotel when they visit Miami. If you like the Grove, this location cannot be beat. Rooms are very spacious and clean. Hotel pool very pleasant and great pool side cocktail service. We love that the hotel is not “cookie cutter” — makes it more fun. Lovely staff.

The check in was self check in, not user friendly. No room service for breakfast. They charged me $75 for one extra hour to checkout. The swimming pool had a lot of chlorine, my kids eyes hurt for the rest of the day.

I booked this hotel for my wedding night, reserving a corner room with a hot tub, which was advertised as a suite. I informed Expedia that it was my wedding night. Upon arrival, I was 'upgraded' to a family suite with two bathrooms and two rooms, but no hot tub. Additionally, both phones in the room were non-functional. I had to approach the manager in my wedding dress to request a room change, only to be informed that they were fully booked. I did not request an upgrade and found this situation outrageous.
To make matters worse, the mini-fridge didn't cool properly, and the air conditioning was set to 65 degrees Fahrenheit but felt more like 72 degrees. The room was excessively noisy, with sounds of honking and birds audible from inside. There was a shower on the terrace, which seemed promising, but unfortunately, the view was obstructed by a neighboring building, leaving us exposed to onlookers. The hotel agreed to refund the second night, but only after I contacted Expedia and requested they intervene. Despite assurances, I am yet to receive any communication regarding the refund.
Considering the multitude of issues we encountered, I believe we are entitled to a refund for both nights. This experience significantly marred our wedding night, and I intend to share my disappointment with anyone considering a visit to Miami. I am deeply upset by the overall treatment and lack of resolution to these issues."

We absolutely loved our stay. The room and decor were very beautiful and clean. The area has many great restaurants and shops within walking distance, across the street. There was a wedding going on in the arboretum inside the hotel and the doors to the rooms opened to this area which is open all the way to the roof of the hotel. It didn’t bother us because we were out until after the wedding ended but I can see it bothering people with small children

Coconut Grove is a nice neighborhood and there are two parks nearby with waterfront access. The hotel itself as a building is intriguing and has a nice pool on the roof. But we had multiple disappointing moments during our stay which greatly affected our experience.
The biggest issue was probably sound, during our stay music was bleeding into our room from the common spaces which were rented out for weddings. Upon inquiring about the noise we were told that six weddings were booked this weekend and the music would stop at 9pm - which it didn’t. As a token we were given a $50 voucher by the hotel, not per person or per day, but in total. We were there with our two children hoping for a family friendly hotel - which it was/is, up to a certain degree if you think that a party hotel is family friendly.
The Hotel charges a $25 destination fee per day and when asked what a destination fee is, we were told this is to cover the “complimentary” water, tea bags and coffee bags. Either the excuse for the destination fee is lame or the hotel is too cheap to really offer these complimentary items for free. Either way not good. Despite this, our tea, water and coffee wasn’t replenished during our stay and we had to repeatedly ask for it.
Would we stay there again? Probably not.

This was our first stay here and i just wanted to give a shout out to Tina (check in), Jason (i think... he showed us to our room) and Fabian (valet).
We came in very late from a long drive. Tina made sure we had the right room and quickly checked us in. Jason took us to our room and both he and Fabian made sure we were used the parking rates correctly and most effieciently. Jason made sure we were settled in our room (with two young kids). I have never had such a welcoming reception at a hotel and I have stayed in many places around the world. Thabk you

The courtyard is gorgeous and unique. The staff were very friendly. We traveled with our two kids, 10 and 8, and they loved the rooftop pool. The room was clean, beautiful and spacious.

We had a wonderful time at the Mayfair for our babymoon! Our room was clean and spacious. The service was perfect, everyone was kind and accommodating. Loved the rooftop pool. All the food was great. My only complaint is that the menu's on the website didn't match the food served. My pregnant self was sad that there was no french toast for breakfast. Otherwise, we had a great time and would definitely rebook.

This hotel is a truly wonderful place. We were impressed by the unique design, the spaciousness of the rooms and the atmosphere on the pool deck. We always struggle to find hotels that are stylish and family friendly at the same time (our kids are 11 and 8) - this hotel ticked both boxes.
I loved the open space and the vastness of greenery. Highly recommended. And a special thanks to one of the staff members, Robert, who made our stay even more pleasurable.
