We have stayed with with Wingate by Wyndham Destin many times over the years and always come back to stay in your hotel because of the ambience, cleanliness, wonderful atmosphere and that includes everyone working in the hotel from maintenance to office management..When our friends and family are going to Destin we always recommend they stay with you.. We look forward to staying at the Wingate next year in February when the family will get together again.. Many thanks for a most enjoyable stay with good memories.. Camille Frix

The couch was very nasty need to be thrown away. We had to go buy air mattress for the kids to sleep on. We never sat on the couch the whole time there. but the employees all were very helpful with the things they could control. and the chairs at the table were awful and very dirty

I stayed with two adults and two children. For most of our stay things went well. The last day or so we ran into issues with the staff. One woman seemed like she thought I was going to steal towels when I asked for clean ones from the front desk. The next morning the children wanted to wait poolside while we packed up the room and were told they had to stay in the room. They had been waiting and going to the pool all week, it was strange for it to be an issue now. The breakfast was fine. I am lactose intolerant and I don’t eat pork so there weren’t a ton of options for me but the kids loved it! The men at reception were very kind as well as a younger woman with a beautiful accent and blonde colored hair.

It is bad to leave or enter the hotel from the main road. I was 1st floor room, noise from walking on the 2nd floor and the sound of children running is much more louder. Too small swinging pool.

The hotel worker was rude as soon as I walked in. I prepaid for my hotel room and was traveling with my small children. I arrived at 1 in the morning and would be leaving early in the morning. I did not have a second credit card on me / just the card I paid for the hotel with. He would not let us in the room. Expedia even called as I had cash or the card already on file and the man refused to let us stay at our pre-paid hotel room. He was so unprofessional and just mean. I have never dealt with someone like this or a hotel who would not pit their customers first. Unbelievable .

A family in the floor above us was extremely loud. Running up and down, jumping around in their room until late into the night. When we tried to call the front desk so they could handle it, no one answered so we just had to deal with it. Other than that, we had a great stay. Room was clean. Nice amenities like toiletries and coffee in room.

This hotel was outstanding!! The complimentary breakfast had several options to choose from and was very good!! The staff members did a great job keeping the common areas clean. My family and I visit Destin every year and we would stay here again.

The property was conveniently located for us. We only stayed 1 night. It looked clean on arrival but the cleaning was a 5/10 at best. The main issue is the water smells like sewage. It was to the point where we brushed out teeth with bottled water. I was scared for my children to put it in their mouth.
