Avid Hotels Ft Lauderdale Airport Cruise, an IHG Hotel

Hotel.com offers paid at property in your own currency. Not honor for Avid hotel. They had late check in, they about to cancel my reservation bavaused I call them to let them knows I was stocked in traffic. Finally check in with grand kids, no remote control working for tv. Just one person in front desk can’t leave reception. Just one trash can. And two towels for 4 people.

The place was great! Hospitable, comfortable and clean. We stayed as a family of 4 only thing is we were only given two towels but when asked for more they were very understanding.

Loved the location, friendly staff, 24/7 coffee and the lovely breakfast. However, I noticed dust has started to settle in areas in the bathroom and a little more TLC can happen in the shower but I will definitely book this hotel again and refer to family or a friend.

I like that they are near the airport and they offer free shuttle. Their complimentary coffee is also available 24/7. Since the hotel is beside I-595 and the airport, it may get noisy sometimes. The rooms are compact but efficient. Despite it size, it has a mini ref and an in-room safe. One thing I do not like is the small sliding doors at their main entrance. It took me a while to bring my family's 7 luggages inside the hotel because of the small door opening.

Hotel West Great. New. Clean. Gal at the front desk was super helpful and nice. There’s a good amount of snacks in the lobby for kids who might want an evening snack. It’s literally 10 minutes from the airport. Very good choice if you have an early flight out.

Overall, our stay was ok. The breakfast at this hotel was average. I don’t suppose my family and I would return to this hotel for the simple reason that during our stay we had two fire alarms go off during the night while we were sleeping and did not receive any communication from staff in the morning on what was going on. Secondly, one of the staff serving breakfast on 3/30/2024 was super rude to my wife and a few other guests which was totally uncalled for. Matthew at the front desk was awesome though.

Fast and easy check in, clean room, beds and overall hotel experience. This was a simple and nice stay for my family.
