I loved the vibe of the hotel and the decor. The downsides were…I booked a junior suite at a premium price and heard loud music coming from the courtyard until 11:30pm. Additionally, the bed and pillows were not comfortable.

It's quite unfortunate that I'll have to write this as I do enjoy staying and dining at this hotel. I've been here 4 times before without issue. On this occasion, however, I had my visiting family stay at this hotel for the weekend, and unfortunately, the sweater portion of her Adidas set went missing after the hotel's cleaners came to clean the room on Sunday morning. It is quite odd as the pant portion remained, and only one bed was fixed and the other remained unkempt. We looked everywhere in the room, including removing the pillowcases in our desperation to locate the sweater. We found a small cockroach inside of the pillowcase instead. I mean, I was quite stunned as literally I've stayed here several times and due to the reliability of comfort and safety of this place, I put my family there. I was very unhappy that the sweater was taken as it was a recently purchased outfit that my cousin wore the day before. I understand that the weather is cold now in DC, but whoever cleaned the room shouldn't be touching people's belongings. The sweater was folded and placed on the table. There was no reason for it to be removed from the room especially as laundry service was not requested. The matter was never rectified as the sweater was not found. I'm truly disappointed and very much embarrassed as I gave the hotel great reviews before.

It was not what I expected. Not really "age appropriate" for me--there were NO drawers to put clothes in, not a closet just an open area to hang clothes, although I was upgraded to a junior suite there was little room to move around (in the living room the sofa was so close to the table it was hard to maneuver around it and work also the furniture in the bedroom made it difficult to work at the table (needed to pull out the chair from underneath) and walk around. Bathroom was quite small. I was afforded free breakfast, however, there is no restaurant for breakfast onsite--it is a "deli" with breakfast sandwiches and bagels. This boutique is better for "younger" guests

There were 13 in our family that chose to stay at Yours Truly,DC. It was close to restaurants and to the metro. The staff was very friendly, and our children felt safe meandering through the hotel!

Designation fee $30 per day was not explained/clear when reserved. This is in addition to “resort”fee $60. Hotel is in general, very loud and noisy throughout the night due to young people/parties so not recommended for a family. Room cleaning was very slow and did not get cleaned until 16:00 despite our request

Cool spot. The neighborhood was great with good options for food. Safe for the kids. The hotel itself has a really great vibe and they even hire an artist to draw characa

The hotel overall was a beautiful place. It was a very comfortable stay with my family. The walls are thick enough that you do not hear people outside your door. The downstairs restuarant was fun to hang out and have a good drink.
The only negatives found were when we arrived the valet made it clear to us that they took tips, like, hint, hint, give us one; which was off putting. The hotel charges an additional $30 per day for things that come included with most other hotels like wifi, and housekeeping.
Also during the day the hotel opens all their windows downstairs in 90 degree weather. I am not sure who would find that comfortable to sit downstairs when it is so humid out.
Overall, we would definitely return.

My family and I enjoyed the cleanliness of the area and hotel, we enjoyed the safe location we were in. Food options was outstanding. Things were a bit pricey however manageable. However my one down that we had was during the check-in process hotel indicated parking however it was misleading they demanded valet parking when i ask the parking options i asked for other options the said either street parking or valet which was completely not the only options this was a 3 day trip so i wasn't willing to waste over $250 on valet parking so i researched multiple garage parkings within walking distance and found two 24hr garages that you can pay multiple all day parking days so i selected that option and paid $70 in total i was upset that the staff wouldn't even mention that option i felt like it was just $$$ for them and not the actually concern of the guest. They metion kids friendly however there isn't anything to do for the kids at all its definitely an adult hangout spot. overall they have a great facility and clean rooms with a lounge and bar and a pretty delicious breakfast attached to the side. My family still enjoyed and we would stay again.

This hotel definitely stood out from chain hotels. The atmosphere, culture, and vibes were all exceptional. Exceeded my expectations. Restaurants on site, nearby, and Walgreens. Short distance to White House and national mall. Perfect for family or business trips. Highly recommended.
