Best Western Hartford Hotel & Suites

The bedding was ripped and stained. The chair was ripped and dirty. The rug was old, dirty, stained. The sheer curtains were black with mold and had some black blotches. I wasn’t given any do not disturb sign or guidance when we checked in. Even after I finally got a sign to hang on the outside of the door, people were keying into the room without knocking. A man insisted that I called for him to repair the a/c. Not true. He insisted that he had already switched out my microwave earlier that morning. Not true. We had the same microwave all the days we were there, and it was noisy and horrible. The staff make empty promises and lie. The manager yelled at me, denied he yelled, and then yelled for me to get the Hell out. I called the police and was told that they get many calls from that hotel and they advise that I leave for my family’s safety.

Check-in and check-out were quick and efficient. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good. However, at the pool, it was posted that there cannot be drinks, food, and smoking. When my family went to swim on Sunday evening, there was a large crowd of people at the pool and they were playing loud music, smoking, drinking, and eating.

Tired hotel with a lot of small children families who run up and down the halls. Hot tub was out of service.

stayed here once before and it was great but got a room for my family while they were visiting and it was a good place to stay just for the weekend. location was convenient as the highway was right there although not much to do in the area, my parents enjoyed the free breakfast, and front desk staff were super kind and accommodating. my mom ended up leaving her airpods so called and they were able to find it right away and take the proper precautions when they returned it to me.

I had no problem with the hotel itself. But I was given a room right by the entrance on the ground floor facing the parking lot. Several other guests spent the entire evening and night parked right outside my window blasting music from their cars. Finally at 12:30am I asked to switch rooms and was given another room on the opposite side of the hallway but still right by the lobby so I heard people yelling as they came in and out all night. Maybe just the price and location of this hotel lends itself to being a crash place after a night of partying. Would not recommend for families on a Saturday night.

At first glance place looked ok, front desk area was nice, as we started our way to our room the hallway had a particular smell ( not good ) and although it’s a non-smoking hotel the smell of cigarette and marijuana was overwhelming. But once we made it to our room was ok I guess , that’s until we noticed a roach in the bathroom and another near the bed which was so disgusting, we were there with our kids, paid over $300 for our stay which was one night and felt that we overpaid.. I guess on a good note the outside of the building looks good. I recommend for people to do give them selves enough time when looking for a hotel in Hartford Ct si they can have better options more up to date and clean, honestly it felt like cheap motel not an over $300 night place.. and that’s my honest review, we were there Saturday 10/14/23 checked out Sunday 10/15/23 and sorry I had to give a poor review but that’s our reality 2.5 star at best, hopefully they can do the updates needed and and make an effort to extermine the cockroaches and clean the place better.

The front desk was excellent. The house keeping was not so pleasant. We had extended stay. They did not come in and take out the tash we had to take out the trash. Was uable to get clean towels every day. I brought my own towels. They did not come in remade our beds and didnt vacuum the floor. We had to sweep the floor everday. I choose this hotel because they had a pool and the pool was not clean for the week that i was there so my grandchildren could not go swimming.

Spent the recent holiday weekend and stayed 2 nights. Definitely a dated property unlike the pictures that were presented…after check in, make it to our door and 2 turbo carpet dryers are in the hallway. The flood/mess must have been across the hallway. Bad sign #1, #2 was fruit fly/gnats in our bathroom and plenty of them! The next morning we discover the probable cause of said pests..they provided brown bag breakfasts and encouraged people to eat it in their rooms. Really, a bag of stuff: warm yogurt, water, breakfast sandwich…at least it didn’t make us sick. But we weren’t gonna do that again, however, a decent breakfast saves money and at $250 per you gotta do better than that! Throw in some sketchy types wandering the parking lot and a stick propping open a back door, just a recipe for bad things to happen. Again, this place was more like a $75 motel where you expect these types of things, can only hope they raised the rates due to the holiday, if not a total rip off. This is only the 2nd review I’ve ever bothered to make, I’m really not that picky but this place pretty much sucks…oh and the outdoor pool was off limits for some reason, not ideal with active kids! Avoid this place

This hotel is away from the main centre of Hartford and would not really be suitable for families. It was however, clean and the beds were comfortable. Plenty of towels and toiletries. The hotel is a little dated in decor. Breakfast was basic, but adequate. Hated the paper plates and plastic cutlery though!
