We stayed for two nights while visiting the Mystic aquarium and surrounding areas. My kids loved the pool, and I found the poolside furniture to be surprisingly comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was the best I’ve had as far as roadside hotels go. The room was large for our family of five and they provided a roll away bed for one of my kids (the other two used the full sized pullout couch.) I would stay here again. If fact, I’m likely to seek out similar Hampton Inns. I thought it was great value for what we got!

We loved that the hotel was right off the highway and close to many things to keep us busy. Our kids also loved the pool.

When got in to the hotel, front desk staff couldn’t find my reservation in their system. They advised me to call Expedia. I called Expedia and they spoke with front desk staff and provided confirmation. It was little unexpected as I had my two kids with me.
Otherwise, I am very satisfied with the hotel services, I want to mention about Jose, (hotel front desk staff) he was very on top on my requests. Thank you for everything.

It's conveniently located on one of the main streets in town. There is plenty of dining and shopping options a short drive into town.
The staff were very helpful and extremely nice when we arrived before our scheduled check-in time, but they were still able to accommodate us which meant a lot since my whole family was tired from flying in on the red eye earlier that morning.

The staff was courteous. They brought us a pack n play when asked. We did request more towels and they never brought them. They were not at the front desk a lot of the time.
The continental breakfast was heavily processed and previously frozen food, which is most hotels but still not appetizing. Coffee was available at all times which was great.
We had the king suite which had a sink, fridge and microwave. They microwave was sparking and loud when used, so it seemed broken. We unplugged it so there wasn't a fire (we have a toddler that plays with things). It would've been nice to have cutlery and dinnerware to use, which would make the hotel even more ecofriendly (a claim they make on their website).
We could hear traffic from our room on the first floor (inside and outside) which could bother some people. There was a decent gap around our door which made it feel less secure and didn't help with blocking noise.
Overall a very basic hotel without bells and whistles. Suitable for short stays where you won't be spending much time there. Could benefit from healthier breakfast options and more front staffing (they seemed understaffed & overwhelmed most of our stay).

I love the double bed room! After being on the road 4 days, my family was tired. It felt good to check in to a clean room! No complaints from me!

This hotel got great reviews so we felt comfortable booking it for a family trip. But when we got there, the room smelled musky and was damp, the smoke detectors were off the wall, and the bathroom door (which was a barn door) was off the track and the handle was broken. They were going to put a maintenance order in but for early the next morning which didn't work with our schedule. we ended up switching hotels for our next night. Some of the inconveniences we could look past but the AC air made our clothes wet, damp bedding, and was not comfortable. The neighborhood also seemed soso.

Terrible experience. Called ahead of time to confirm availability of amenities and after I confirmed that with the front desk, I booked my room. The next day the hotel messaged me and told me those amenities were not available. Then upon arrival to the hotel, even though I paid through Hotels.com, the front desk charged my credit card the full amount of the stay, and told me repeatedly that they were unable to issue me a refund. this was a full charge, not a hold for incidentals. This had to be elevated to Hilton customer service as the Hampton inn staff were incapable of helping.
the room was mediocre at best. There is no way to shut and latch the bathroom door in your room. it is only a barn door style door that has no latch or lock. there is also a large gap between the door and the wall when the bathroom door is closed, so that as you are getting out of the shower, if your room door is open, you can see right out into the hall. The bathroom also lacks a vent fan to exhaust unwanted smells or steam. This sounds minor, but when you consider that you could stay in that small room with 4 people, all using the bathroom... you can imagine what happens to that tiny room.
it is also clear that there are staff and their family living in the hotel. children running around the lobby and the hallways then running into the industrial laundry room and hiding behind a staff member. Unacceptable for this type of hotel.
very disappointed with the hotel, staff and customer service.
