The Springs Resort & Spa

Everything was AMAZING! The staff was so friendly and the areas around the property are all so great! If you get the chance to stop at Root House for a cinnamon roll, do it! if you get the chance to eat at The Rose, do it! Take a dip in one of the hot springs pools at 2 AM, JUST DO IT! The experience was so great! We came with our kiddos, definitely family friendly!

The pools were wonderful! The staff was awesome! The only issue I had was that I reserved a junior suite and when I arrived I was in just a regular room which was disappointing.

The staff were very friendly, helpful, and willing to resolve any issues, but that aside I have to admit I was a bit disappointed. We are a family of 5 (which was on the booking) yet the room was equipped for 4, and bedding for the sofa bed wasn't complete. I had to collect extra towels, bedding, and robes myself to avoid a 3 hour wait for reception to deliver it. There is no housekeeping service, either due to restrictions or being short staffed. The sofa bed was hard and uncomfortable for the kids. Dining seemed limited and there is no indoor seating, so it's better to eat in the town. The hot spring pools themselves were nice, but bear in mind that they are high in sediment floating around. Some areas were closed off with yellow tape. We did have an enjoyable time, I just feel that it's a 5-star price for a 3-star experience.

We loved having more than a dozen different spring pools as well as access to cool off in the river. Staff was very friendly with robes and towelstowels and the hot chocolate machine in the lobby was popular with the kids.

Terrible room. Curtains were to small for the windows and there’s an odd third window with no curtains at all, so the the parking lot lights kept us awake all night. Dirty floors in the rooms. No AC or heat, had to open the windows (that’s right the windows fully open, no child locks so keep an eye on your children.

We did like the location which was within walking distance to several restaurants. However, overall, we did not feel that the room rate was justified. The property looked a bit overrun in places. Housekeeping cleaned our room after 5 pm making us think they had forgotten us. The worst experience was when my wife overheard an adult family confirm that the father had urinated in the adults-only hot springs pool while my wife was sitting in it. My wife said there were no attendants/staff within sight.

We're budget hotel/camping types, so even the standard/basic room was way more than we're used to paying, but it was a worthwhile treat and we're budgeting for another trip next year. Besides the variety of pools to soak in, we really enjoyed the extras - several vip adult pools without screaming kids, and all-night after hours (hence, quiet) access for hotel guests. The standard room was clean, warm, comfy, and nicely decorated and had indoor hallway access right to the pools - excellent for those bitter cold winter air temps! Nice touch on the free coffee, hot chocolate drinks in the lobby too. Endless towels and comfy robes to use. The real clincher was the same VIP access to the pools before check-in time and after check-out, so we felt like we really got our money's worth. We could use the bathhouse at those times, which also had nice touches with private showers and shampoo etc, walk to a restaurant for lunch or go for a hike, and come back later for re-entry to the pools. Not to mention friendly and helpful staff. We're looking forward to returning!

Wonderful relaxing experience in hot springs and cold river rapids. An excellent place to entertain a family and good restaurants, reasonable nearby.
