Temecula Creek Inn

Quick family weekend get away for Labor Day. Kids loved the pool, we grabbed dinner at the on site restaurant. Close to Old Town Temecula.

I had high hopes for this hotel. The grounds are beautiful and my kids and I were looking forward to a relaxing weekend. First of all, this hotel is NOT accessible. So be prepared to lug your bags up the 1970’s concrete stairs and not catch your door and trip. We got to the room which was in very bad condition. The armchair was wet and the entire room smelled very bad…even my kids remarked that the room had a stale odor. The AC worked okay, although even with it running full blast it was impossible to get rid of the room’s foul smell. The armchair was damp and the carpets were absolutely filthy. The bathroom had no fan and the bathtub was chipped in several places. I’m am not sure how this hotel received a four star rating. Customer service was terrible as well; we were told we could not switch rooms due to the hotel being at full capacity the first night and absolutely no help with bags or anything of the sort. After leaving the screens open all day and the ac on to air out the room, the stale smell of the room was still ever present. We requested to be moved to another room, and despite us being the only car in the parking lot we were once again told that the hotel “was at full capacity”. The hotel did send a maintenance engineer to look at the AC, which apparently was fine just not able to keep up with the room. The engineer suggested we request another room, so once again I asked the front desk and they said we could switch room, which never happened.

We had a very disappointing stay at Temecula Creek Inn. The room was very worn out and dated. Weathered cabinets and doors broken bathroom tiles and old fixtures. Cleanliness was an issue as well, there was a big stain on the carpet in the middle of the room and I made my kids walk in their sandles while in the room. For $500 per night this stay was way below our expectations.

This was a last-minute booking for a hot air balloon Adventure the following morning. Our room was spacious, clean, and had view of the golf course. We were steps to the fine dining restaurant. We had wonderful dinner there. We were seated in a booth by the window also with a view of the golf course. Priscilla was our server and she made our night extra special. If we ever go back to Temecula we definitely will stay at the Temecula Creek Inn. Also fur babies are welcome a big plus. Oh and by the way at check-in they gave me a bottle of wine for my birthday. Very nice touch guys. Thank you so much.

This is a great get away for friends and family! Had the best time with my friends! Cork Fire Kitchen was awesome! Great food and good service!
