The pool area was adequate! the service was slow and sometimes non existent. one person serviced the whole area on a weekend. the grounds are beautiful. it is quite confusing to find your room, but the housekeepers tried to be very helpful. we had a friend with limited mobility in our group. it was not a good choice for someone limited as you may have to walk quite a ways to your room or cottage. more appropriate for younger people and families. the staff at the front desk were not extremely helpful. the wait to get into your room was long, but was before the 4pm check in. i think it's a lovely destination, but just not the right place for a group of women in their seventies.

Very clean and family friendly place. The restaurant was excellent and the complementary wine tasting and morning coffee are good service for customers. The free use of bicycle was quite handy. I will definitely come back when I visit Sonoma in the future.

It would be great to have an indoor game room for kids to enjoy including such things as air hockey, etc.

Do NOT believe their pictures!!! Those pictures they put on their website which show grand, picturesque landscaping and surroundings are clearly designed to mislead and deceit. The room costs $600 per night with extra for balcony yet I got a room with the grand view of a packing lot and a power station. I asked if they have a room facing their pool and was told no such room available even I was willing to wait. Around 1pm I came upon the cleaning lady who's cleaning up a pool-facing room and confirmed that the guest has checked out. Clearly better rooms have been available just not to me! The room itself definitely is NOT worth the $600 price tag: small, tired and poor craftsmanship all around. It's at a busy intersection with nothing in walking distance. There was some kind of foul smell in the lobby during our entire stay. On the positive side, the breakfast that comes with the room are very good. Also, the hotel offered free bicycles and kids loved it. You can ride to the town or nearby bike trails.
