Mason Beach Inn

I booked this place based on the good reviews and I wasn’t disappointed. There were 4 of us including 2 kids. Lovely free cookies etc and a drink on arrival. The MOST welcoming staff - we arrived fairly late and we were tired and the lady on reception couldn’t have been nicer. The rooms are ‘cool’ - not in the cold sense but just smart, modern etc and just a bit different. Very clean. Easy parking. Didn’t use the pool so can’t comment. I fully recommend!

The hotel is very clean, newly renovated with a nice decor that has the Santa Barbara vibes. It's walking distance to the beach but it does not have beach views. Easy parking on the property. The front desk staff was very friendly. We were given complimentary welcome drinks and there is tea, coffee, cookies and fruits available 24/7 at the lobby. I'd highly recommend this place to couples, friends and families.

This property was great for a one day getaway. The room was very clean and the room has a minibar (that we didn’t take advantage of but nice addition) parking was plentiful and for those that want to risk it, there is street parking available but for 14 dollars you avoid any issues. Staff were very welcoming and accommodating during check In. Cookies, coffee and tea are available near the front desk and they provide two free alcohol drinks upon check in (limited choice tho) Check out was very easy as well a few cons that didn’t impact our stay but worth mentioning: we were on the first floor and the guests above us were running marathons all night so we heard every step. The other con was the mattress was very firm (for my liking) but I still was able to get a nice night of sleep Would definitely recommend due to the walkability of the space. Would come back as a couples getaway for future. Great for couples with no kids due to ease of use. Families would enjoy this space as well for limited duration stays.

The perfect spot for a girls trip weekend! We walked everywhere from restaurants, museums, the beach and more! We also rented bikes and enjoyed the coastline. What a great place to share with family!

The Mason Beach Inn was great for a quick, one-night visit. My family of four stayed in a double queen room which was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The decor is well maintained and has a nice look to it. However, the room is tiny. There's not much room to move around in. For one night, it was just fine. The staff was very friendly and included complimentary beverages and snacks upon check-in. Always a nice touch. We used the pool and it was just fine. Clean, but nothing exceptional. The location is perfect. Very close to State Street, the harbor, beach, and warf. Overall, a cute hotel for a quick stay!

Two night trio with family, one child age 8. Location of hotel is good, walkable to beach and downtown. Clean halls, clean room. Pool is pretty, a nice feature. Some things are an easy fix but we’re substandard- morning coffee in the self serve lobby is very bad. Too much “perfume” pumped into hallways, possibly covering faint smell of cigarette? No extra blankets, just the super super heavy polyester bed cover. Also, a free bottle of water would be nice, tap water in SB is famously bad.
