Half Moon Bay Lodge

The staff were very helpful and professional to me and my family. My wife and I used to stay at the hotel when it was under another name.

Lodge has some pretty spots . Cozy , picture worthy . Loved the pool/game area , sauna jacuzzi. Heated pool without clorox ! Yessss! . Checkin was fine ,loved that without trouble upon request she switched us from 2nd to first floor. . Checkin/checkout staff was fine , didnt care much to set a welcoming environment in my opinion. Helpful, answered questions , short and rather to the point . No small talk , etc. ... Didn't like this.: Bike rental was only for adults , so families with babies , children are left out. Breakfast , claudia i think her name was , was very rude , like she wanted people to leave so she can go on with her day and get this breakfast part over with. Her display was rather ridiculous in my opinion. There were few other things that were iffy but not a big deal . Overall it was fine , one night here is great.

The HMB Lodge is a must stay! The property is clean and well cared for. The rooms are large and clean. The bed was very comfortable and the shower has great water pressure and warmed up quickly. It was quiet and very peaceful. The rooms overlook the back sitting area and golf course. There is a pool, hot tub, fire pit, plenty of outdoor seating to relax as well as family friendly games such as ladder ball and cornhole. Plus they have free bike rentals. Check in and out is easy and they have a free breakfast that includes make your own waffles. We will definitely be back!

We spent a long weekend here with my children, it was great lot of little extras that made our stay that much better.

Good for a holiday with kids and family. Hidden gem.

HMB lodge is a hidden gem with beautiful clean rooms, private balconies and many more wonderful amenities. The location is perfect, near a beautiful beach, restaurants and a spa. This is my go to spot whenever I am visiting family in the area.

Great family friendly hotel

Courteous, efficient staff. Pleasant dining room with reasonable breakfast options. Pool/hot tub, along with outdoor firepit area, are very good. Snacks and alcoholic beverages available for purchase in lobby. Good family restaurant adjacent. Well-maintained dog-walk area.

We enjoyed the beautiful location of the hotel and it was comfortable enough, but could've used a freezer in the room! Was convenient having a family restaurant in the parking lot, and the complementary breakfast had great options. Found it to be a bit pricey for the room we had, but assume this largely factors in the location. Downside was being on the first level and many guests letting their dogs off leash in the back lawn area, which then ran up to our Windows/doors and set our dog off.

The staff helped us recover some essential stuffed animals that the kids left behind—we are enormously appreciative and will no doubt return!
