Ocean Villa Inn

Had to cancel due to death in family was unable to go on trip. This business refused to refund me. I do not recommend this hotel since they have no regards for the people and their situations. They basically got free money on my expense.

Our family came in and checked in with zero issues. Spent a few evening here and it was great! The staff was friendly and hospitable. The rooms were clean and beds super comfortable. It could some new I terior dorrs due to what I imagine is water damage but the place is next to the ocean and not exactly new. If that's my only issue,, I'll stay here whenever we come back.

We really enjoyed our stay. It was perfect for our family and puppy. We will be back

Celing fan on room had spiderwebs and a spider came down on my kids from the fan. Rooms need some TLC. The staff is great. The only thing is that the property needs renovations. The room had a bad smell to it.

Great little hotel. Staff was super friendly, quiet neighborhood. Very close to the beach and the dog beach. This hot is very dog friendly and family friendly. They also have a cute pool as well at a food truck near there. Lots of things to do within walking distance. Will stay there again.

I decided to take my dogs on a quick trip to San Diego to see the ocean. I came across Ocean Villa Inn as a pet-friendly hotel. The staff was uper friendly and helpful when i arrived. The room was clean and it had a dog run right outside the room. The hotel had easy access to Ocean Beach and they have a dog wash area to clean your furry family at. There is a diner on property that has amazing pizza and wings, but I believe they are closed on Monday and Tuesday. Overall it was a great stay and look forward to another visit.

I have stayed here a couple times before and love this place. It is clean and perfect for a getaway with the kids and pugs.

The staff is great and friendly. They were helpful with smiles on their face. The view of the beach is wonderful, especially at sunset. On the negative side, the hotel is showing its age. We had two rooms on a family trip to SD. One toilet clogged twice on us. The fan in the other bathroom blew in instead of out. This spread aromas through out the room. There are cracks in the ceilings.

Had great view of the bay, good space for dogs, rooms were large, showers hot. Had microwave and fridge for families. Pool was warm 😊. Staff considerate and helpful. Rooms need major remodel though- floors and paint on the walls peeling. Beds not comfortable. A/C worked but was very loud, waking us up when it came on at night. Towels were threadbare and we did t even have washcloths or any Kleenex in the room.

First, let me start off with the positives. This little inn is perfectly situated by ocean beach, and has incredible accessibility to the beach, especially when you are traveling with your fur babies. We specifically wanted to take our pup out to the Dog Beach and Ocean Villa Inn exceeded our expectations on location and the ability to have our dog with us in the hotel. There is a lovely grass area just beyond the fencing that is easily accessible from the hotel where you can let your dog run and play and do their business, additionally, it was nice to be able to exit our patio and have an artificial green space for the dogs to roam and if needed go to the bathroom. There were plenty of places to eat that were within walking distance, and even closer if you were driving all which were extremely dog friendly, and this made traveling with our pup, very easy, comfortable and inviting. Now our only negatives on this hotel is that it did feel a bit rundown. Though I understand being open to dogs, no one is expecting a five-star accommodation, however, the rooms needed major updating. The shower area was extremely rundown in our room the hot and cold faucet were literally coming off the wall, paint was peeling and It was pretty musty smelling. The room we were in could have certainly used a fresh coat of paint, updated furniture and general upkeep. The noise level from tenants above us was extremely loud as well. Enjoyed our stay great for dogs but the Inn needs a lot of TLC.
