I used to visit this property when I was in my 20s and my relatives would come to town from LA for a week. It is an older facility, but they have maintained it well. The rooms might be a bit dated, but they are immaculate and very spacious (kitchen, dining, living, bedroom and bathroom). The kitchen was stocked with coffee maker, toaster, glassware, plates, etc. The property has limited parking which must be reserved in advance, but we didn't have a problem finding a place right in front on the street. This would be an ideal place for a family to stay as it is within easy walking distance to restaurants and the beach. I read reviews how there wasn't any air conditioning. There was a window air conditioner in our room, ceiling fans and oscilating fans so we were never uncomfortable. I would recommend this property.

Great location and perfect for my family of 4. Beautiful neighborhood close to beach and restaurants. Very clean and easy street parking if you don’t park at the inn.

An amazing stay in beautiful La Jolla, we stayed with our 3 kids. Very quiet place with a centered pool. We’ll be back!

La Jolla Riviera Inn was perfect for our family getaway. Our two bedroom unit was clean, quaint and had everything we needed - the extra pillows, blankets & towels were convenient to have on hand. We were pleased with the location, walking distant to the beach and restaurants. Parking on the street in front of this location was never a problem for us. So glad we chose La Jolla Riviera Inn instead of a tradional hotel.

Nobody was there for check in just after midnight... Spent 40 minutes on the phone with off-site person arranging check in. Glad my family wasn't with me.
No air conditioning. Building is old, everything feels old, feels more like sad apartments than hotel.
Nobody was available when I checked out, they were unaware I'd checked out even though I followed their protocol.

The property has been kept up very clean and nice considering its age. Our family went during a heat wave, and just know that there is NO A/C (air conditioning) in unit 21 (not sure about other units?). *Manager went out of her way to get us a portable A/C unit and fans - Excellent Customer Service! Other than that staff/place was great, location is best and would definitely come here again. These are old apartments, turned into an Inn and includes dining and full kitchen.

DO NOT GO HERE WITH KIDS!! My children swam in the pool and were repeatedly told to use inside voices- in the pool. They were told they were too loud and needed to be quiet. I was told to tell them to stop screaming, which I did. But how do you tell kids to be quiet in a pool? The location is so nice and the space is good. The beds were awful. Overall, I think they need to rethink their strategy of having residents and “hotel” guests because it was very uncomfortable to think we were unwanted with children.
