Hilton San Diego Del Mar

Later check in than we had anticipated but the desk people were super nice. My kid and I were going to an event at Del Mar and my wife had work to do while we were gone. The staff was great allowing her to stay at the lounge and stay parked in the lot until we needed to be picked up. Great restaurant on property as well.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. Hotel was clean and pool was nice. My biggest issue is the third night of our stay my toddler wet the bed. We called the front desk to ask for new sheets was told they would. When we got back that evening they had not been switched. The bed had been made by housekeeper you would think that they would have switched them when they noticed they were wet even if the message wasn’t passed along. It was so late and we were too tired to say anything that evening. Was very disappointed that our issue wasn’t addressed.

Beautiful facility! Celebrated my granddaughter’s 8th birthday. Pool time and family fun. Wonderful and helpful staff. Friendly greeting at front desk even as they were busy they gave adequate attention to my needs.

Highly recommend this for anyone especially families with children. We are definitely coming back.

Good location for walking to Fair Ground. Family friendly good for kids with pool area. Restaurant dinner was very good. Beds need upgrades/ hard

The hotel and staff are excellent. However, this is the 2nd stay where our stay coincided with a youth soccer tournament. To say they were unruly (both parents & children) would be a major understatement. The parents were at the indoor bar the entire time, and the kids ran amuck like a pack of wild hyenas.The staff should’ve intervened.

Great location in a safe, family friendly area. Close proximity to several beaches and San Diego. Room was clean and the staff was friendly. We are planning on returning to this hotel next year.

Our stay was fair…rooms are in so-so condition, pretty worn-looking. Uncomfortable beds. Thin, scratchy towels. I paid extra for a lanai, and felt like I was at a frat-party my entire stay; I heard nothing but loud, drunk partyers and screaming kids the whole time. Oh, and the fire alarm that went off in the middle of the night!!! When I asked the front desk, I was told ‘oh, it was just a party that accidentally set it off’….seriously???!!!! Not what I expected from Hilton

It's a nice hotel with a beautiful outdoor area with lots of firepits and a pretty pool. The restaurant is good and open late. There was no valet parking, which is disappointing but the front desk gentleman brought our bags to our room while we parked, which was a great surprise. My main issue is that this is the only hotel room I have ever stayed in that doesn't have a desk!!! I have to work while I am here and I am sitting on the floor using my suitcase to hold up my laptop! It's very very uncomfortable and inconvenient. I have to work a full day's work like this! I can't just go to the business center because I work on East Coast time so I've been sitting here since 4:30am and I have a 6-year-old child with me I can't just leave in the room to sleep while I go to the business center. I have never had this issue before and I'm very surprised to be having it at a Hilton. The photos all show a room with the usual desk. It's an accessible room but do they think people who need accessible rooms couldn't possibly have work to do? It's weird all around and I hate sitting on the floor to work. When I asked why the room didn't have a desk, they just said, Yeah, it doesn't have one.

We enjoyed staying here to be close to beaches, hikes, and family. We did not rent a car so we walked to the dog beach and restaurants and took Uber rides to most places. The hotel used to have a shuttle to the beach but not now. We ate breakfast and lunch in the hotel and liked the food. Nice and clean. The fire pits were nice at night. We will stay here again.
