So many bad things happened on this little trip. The hotel tried to make up for it monetarily but then “forgot”. I was very upset in the end. HOWEVER it is a nice hotel in a great location. I have stayed in the past and had a 5 star experience. This particular trip they missed the mark big time. I was also shocked that on Mothers Day Sunday the pool bar wasn’t open for Mimosas and brunch. There were so many families there sneaking in drinks and snacks because they were closed. Eventually a pool server came in but they were hours short of all these Mamas wanting to enjoy their morning poolside.

What a wonderful experience,, the front desk personnel was exceptional. So warm, kind, welcoming,, And they realize I had a retirement party and gave me a free bottle of champagne, exceptional,, They even offered me a late check out once they found out that I was having brunch there with my family for my retirement party the previous evening. My entourage could not have been more pleased with the rooms, the view and the service. My husband and I have stayed in hotels around the world and only to learn that one of the best places is right here in our own backyard. We are loving this place and will tell everyone about the great time we had there the exceptional service in the premium room stay. Well done and will be back again someday.😁❤️ ,,,

My family and I spent New Year’s in Sacramento and chose Kimpton Sawyer Hotel to start the New Year. We made the right choice. It is a lovely hotel. The staff is amazing, as soon as we walked in we were greeted with a drink and offered help with our luggage. The waiting area is very nice and cozy. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Room service is on it as is the bell man. We had two different bell men and they were both very kind. Everyone all around was very helpful, cheerful and friendly. Definitely will be a place to visit again.

The hotel itself was a smooth and wonderful experience. The property around the hotel was full of homeless people legitimately on drugs or out of their minds. Not at all a safe location for a woman and child to walk around by themselves.

Kimpton Sawyer provided luxury bedding and excellent customer service. The hotel offers a solid, gorgeous setting, with warm, outdoor infinity pool (and gym). There are plenty five star restaurants nearby, and a beautiful shopping mall within walking distance. The property is next to Golden 1 Sports Arena, which is a stunningly clean and accommodating sports arena. These elements compliment large traveling families, and even singles, or couples, wanting quite rest. Sacramento weather was Divine!

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The hotel is pet (no extra fees charged) and kid friendly. But I would also go for a couple retreat without kids and pets. You can do valet parking or park yourself in the parking lot below. A lift will take you straight to the lobby. Walkability is excellent. There are several food options nearby and you can explore Sacramento Downtown easily. We didn't try the hotel restaurant but had several snacks at the pool bar which were all good. The rooftop bar is super stylish and kids aren't allowed in the pool area past 7pm which is a plus for several guests. You can screen to the TV from your apps (e.g., Netflix app, Disney app etc). The rooms very were clean. Staff is friendly and attentive. Happy hour with free wine in the lobby in the early evening as well as coffee/tea in the morning. Breakfast is room service only. We went to the excellent patisserie just next to the hotel for breakfast. Overall this was a great stay. The only constructive piece of feedback I have is that they don't offer complimentary water bottles in the room but instead charge $7 per bottle. This feels a bit outrageous. Also, you can't open the hotel room windows.
