Holiday Inn Sacramento Downtown-Arena, an IHG Hotel

If you are spending the day in Old town or catching an event at the Golden One center, this is the place to stay! Easy pedestrian path both directions to some great places in a short walk. The rooms show some age but the convenience to walk everywhere overseas that. Room had a refrigerator but no microwave. The staff was incredible too. Will stay again with the family for sure.

No microwave in room, had to go to lobby to warm stuff up. Only 1 tiny trash can for a family of 5. The room was quiet and clean.

Old and obsolete. No mini refrigerator nor microwave. Not family friendly. TV looks over a decade old. Hotel rooms looks like it hasn’t been updated in decades. Location is convenient, but driving through downtown rush hour seems more bearable than staying at this hotel for the night. Spend a little extra and stay at the other better hotels in the area.

Great location, but that's about it. We came back from swimming only to find our shower did not work, and it was almost bedtime for our kid so chose not to call the desk as it would've been more inconvenient to delay bedtime. On top of this the foldout bed had no sheets on it, and there were none in the closet or drawers, so kid had to sleep with us.Then the next morning we went to breakfast and came back to our room only to find our keys no longer worked. Took them to get fixed, still didn't work. They sent someone up to check it out, and they were able to let us in, but still unable to fix our keys. Thankfully we were checking out that day anyway, but it set our itinerary back a good half hour. We told them about these issues at checkout, and they offered to take off our parking fee, a measly $30. Definitely would not stay here again.

The manager was extremely responsive to our difficulties when I reported that the shower in the room was not working. She recognized that I had a child with me and could not comfortably wait for the maintain person to trouble shoot the shower disfunction. She personally escorted us back to our room, tested out the shower, and immediately moved us to another room with a functioning shower.
