The neighborhood is so quiet and peaceful for being so close to downtown. The bed was perfect and we slept like babies! Only downfall was the hot water, the bathroom and double shower heads were great, but it took forever for hot water. Beautiful place, will definitely stay again.

This is a beautiful small hotel. It seems more geared for events and only has 8 rooms available. Each room is unique. We had an upstairs king room which was quite lovely and spacious. The heater controls were a little too modern; I couldn’t figure out how to turn on the heater but the employee was very pleasant and helpful and came promptly to start it even though he seemed to be the only one working that evening and was busy checking in another family and also was dealing with getting the internet back up. He had the internet back up by the time we returned from dinner. They offer a continental breakfast but we didn’t have any since we were heading out for a massage. The hotel is situated in a nice, fairly quiet neighborhood not too far from downtown. There is limited parking, but it is a small hotel. Coming from the car park, I accidentally went into the hotel through a side entrance, but the employee was unfazed and was very quick about checking me in and showing me the way to my room (looking at the picture, my room was the 2 windows upstairs on the left). I would definitely stay again.

The historic house is quite beautiful but is not a brand new chain hotel. The room was clean and spacious for family of four. It was almost 90 degrees when we arrived and AC was appreciated. Parking was available on the adjacent street or in the small lot. There are restaurants, groceries, and cafes within walking distance. A couple of us ventured further on the morning to run/walk at the capital park. The continental breakfast was great - freshly made scones and hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal, fruit, and drinks.

It’s listed at a bed and breakfast but no one bothers to welcome you or come out when you arrive for breakfast. The service is terrible. Mostly staffed by kids that don’t care.

The penthouse is a lovely little getaway. It really does feel like a home away from home. The only issue for me was the water does take 3-5 minutes to warm up, which they notify you of that, but I like very hot water, which was not as much of an option, as the water only gets warm. Both rooms are lovely and have their own unique feel to them. The interior makes it feel like you’re staying at the family home.
