Fun for families with nearby excellent restaurants

My recent stay at Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa fell short of expectations. The resort was excessively crowded, which significantly detracted from the ambiance and comfort of all guests. Food options did not live up to the standard one would expect from a resort like this one. Additionally, I was surprised to find that lounge chairs were not adequately available in the water park section, leaving many guests, to make do with uncomfortable wooden chairs. Despite these drawbacks, the highlight for my children was undoubtedly the lazy river and water slides, which provided hours of enjoyment. However, it was disappointing to note that the snack bar closed as early as 6 pm, limiting evening options for guests. Overall, while my children had fun in certain areas, I would advise exploring other options for those seeking a truly relaxing retreat.

The room wasn't cleaned well, I found a few hairs in bathtub when we first walked into the room, there was a cobweb in the corner of the room that was missed in preparing room for me and my family and missed again during room cleaning while we stayed there. Service at the restaurant was absolutely horrible, the waiter forgot parts of our order several times and once food came out forgot to give us utensils. Also, during our stay we bought the S'more pack to make with our daughters while we watched movie with them, 1st the "S'more pack" purchased from hotel was missing sticks to roast marshmallows so we were unable to do that and 2nd the movie being shown for "Movie Night" could barley be seen , it was so small on screen. Pool was the only thing great at this hotel, our girls absolutely enjoyed that.

The pool is nice but the service was very rude to my family and charged her triple the amount.

For 400 plus a day I expected top notch service and food dining options. The breakfast was subpar if not mediocre continental breakfast all you can eat buffet with fresh fruit, pastries, and a omelette station. But nothing to say wow….some Egg Benedict or house made pancakes instead of waffles would have been a better choice for that price. Dinner at Agave Sunset Lounge was not that better either. Understaffed and log wait times with food that came out cold and prepared as if it was rushed and sat waiting to be delivered to the table due to the waiters being under capacity. Prices were reasonable for appetizer but I can say for main courses because we didn’t want to wait that long due to our children being hungry. The Cafe downstairs was great, with excellent choices in food and breakfast options at a reasonable price. Drinks were priced almost as Las Vegas resorts would charge. As for the pools, water slides and lazy river, our children had a great time but I had to pay for a cabana which I was told was at a discount price of 350 plus for the whole day where I’ve been to other resorts and the max I’ve payed is 200.00 and bigger in size. Staff was courteous, friendly and helpful as well as the food portion sizes for what we ordered for the children while they enjoyed the pools. Movie theater night was horrible, no where to sit but on the floor, with only one couch available. Knowing families chose this resort for it’s kid friendly activities this was a complete disappointmen.

The staff is very welcoming and accommodating. Love that the hotel is very clean and great amenities. Perfect family weekend get away.
