Hampton Inn & Suites Pittsburg, CA

Just came in for a family funeral. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was okay - nothing to write home abut, but all the usual stuff. The person staffing the kitchen was great and very helpful. I don't drink coffee, so I can't tell you about that, but the selection of tea wasn't much. Luckily, I bring my own. When I have stayed at Hiltons in the past, I have always been offered water and received one per person - they would only give me one bottle, but there were two of us. Overall, a good stay. If I came back, I would stay here again.

Staff are friendly, Rooms are clean and comfortable and the property is well maintained. We stay here anytime we are in the area visiting family.

The Hampton is always a go to hotel when in the Pittsburgh Antioch Concord area. It’s always clean. Staff is always friendly and they have a good breakfast. Bad thing about it is there are no restaurants around. Unfortunately, on this trip. there must’ve been a little girls soccer tournament around as there were a lot of little kids running around in the room up above us and next to us. Noise all night long banging and running did not get a good nights sleep there. I know this isn’t the Hotels fault but I certainly hope that when they know a group is coming in with kids that they warn them about their behavior.

Front staff was very friendly, and did their best to address all questions and concerns. We did have an issue with the room AC unit leaking water on the carpet. Front staff was very attentive and sent housekeeping. Housekeeping staff entered the room without knocking or announcing themselves, once they realized my family and I were in the room they apologized and continued to enter the room to view the AC concerns. They eventually sent the repairman, he stated it unit would need to be repaired, but would send extra towels to cover the wet carpet, which never happened. We again informed the front staff they apologized and were very sweet. Overall the front end staff really made our visit pleasant.

There was no notice given that there was construction going on in the hotel or pool area. There were beer caps and a sharp tool left on our window sill that my 6 year old discovered. I went to my car around 8:30 and there was a homeless man wandering around the lot and then he was standing close to the door when I tried getting back in, making it hard for me to get my children inside and then myself. Overall, didn’t feel very safe.

I’ve stayed here many times before and I’ve had good and bad experiences, this time it was a bad one. It took forever to check in, the room was not ready, when I got my room, it smelled weird, I couldn’t figure out what it was. But my kids live here so I’ll continue to stay here. Much better than the motel6 across the way…
