I booked this hotel for the amazing pool. Booked with other people and we booked rooms that opened up to the pool. We booked weeks in advance. Up on checkin we were told the pool was out of order and had been for some time. It would be been nice if we were contacted and informed. We had very disappointed children. And then the charge for parking was a surprise! Are hotels really charging people to park now??? No wonder the hotel and parking lot were empty.
Now our room was nice and what I expected for the price. I'm just really upset about the pool especially as I drove 6 hours for my kids to be able to play in it!
They did compensate me with a free breakfast and some drinks. But that didn't really help much. It was a nice gesture (that I asked for). But get the pool fixed... Having a bunch of kids drooling over a pool was incredibly hard!

We really enjoyed our stay. We brought a toddler and the hotel was very sweet & accommodating. We look forward to our visit in May :)

The Crowne Plaza Cabana in Palo Alto has become our go-to hotel when vising family and friends in the area. The location, cleanliness, and staff make our stay enjoyable every time.

Stayed one night at the Crown plaza in Palo Alto. The check in was easy with good customer service. The property is a little dated but the room was updated. We stayed on the 1st floor and the bathroom was not cleaned properly ther was hair in the sink and in the shower. They also left a used wash cloth on top of the shower curtain, that fell on me, very gross. The walls of the room are paper thin, we came back to our room very late after visiting family and the person next door had a dog who kept barking and someone who was continuously coughing, making for basically no rest or sleep. One other thing when we got back my key would work to get us in the room, it was 2 am mind you. I went to the front desk to getva new card and confirm the.room number as it was about 2am. The person at the desk asked for my name and id and then said that my Id didnt look like me,Very unprofessional! So in closing will not stay here again and do not recommend.

The gentleman, Ron, checking us in was on a personal call while we were waiting to be attended to and also had an attitude. My husband and I do not share the same last name, so he would not allow him to use his credit card or ID although I added him on the reservation. He said you don’t have the same last name although he were checking in with our child. Rude to assume anything in 2023 world. We also mistakenly thought Hilton was a part of IHG and he rudely reminded my husband by showing a card and aging so you see Hilton anywhere on this list? My husband found his IHG number and then he said because we booked through Expedia he could t attach it at all. I have stayed before with other properties booking through Expedia and you can use your rewards number, they usually just don’t issue the points. Not a great first start to our check-in and won’t be back on our next trip for area. There was a Courtyard that looked nice and clean across the street we will try next time. Attitude goes a long way in a customer service industry and is very off putting.

Paid in full when I booked the room on hotels.com, upon check out I was charged AGAIN by Crowne Plaza themselves at their rate on a credit card I gave them for the deposit on the room. Glad I checked my statement and noticed. It has been 2 weeks since and still have not received the refund or confirmation from them. I’ve called multiple times on multiple days and they tell me it will be processed and they’ll send the email and still nothing. The hotel itself was nice, the breakfast included was average, and nice pool area for the family, but even with all that, it’s still not enough to makeup for a $364 charge that shouldn’t have been charged in the first place. And then to take this long to still not get any feedback is ridiculous. I got no apology from the staff or management each time I call the ask about what is going on. They just forward me until I get someone who tells me it will be processed. Very unprofessional on the hotels behalf.

When I made the reservation it included breakfast. When I got to the hotels and when down for breakfast everyone got a plate of food and then they asked for my room number and then told me my room didn’t come with breakfast and charged me $42 for three kids to eat a buffet breakfast! Not cool
