Checked us in early so the family enjoyed the rest of afternoon. Air conditioning was very weak, fan was blowing all night without much cooling, fortunately the weather was not too hot. The neighborhood unfortunately is rough, I would not let my family members walk alone.

Hard to navigate around the beds without stubbing toes. Told the roof top bar was open until 11:00 PM but we were turned away at 10:20 PM when we went for a nightcap. Glass in the shower wall is embarrassing when you’re rooming with your children. The basement, however, was a good time and the breakfast staff were awesome!

Was down in LA for a family reunion, my partner got sick and I called for early check-in. They were super accommodating and friendly. The lobby is small but cute, the room is typical for DTLA with nice details.
Overall I was impressed for the value we got, I’d say it’s comparable to other “boutique” like hotels in the area. But the staff rly won me over with their helpfulness.
Didn’t try their rooftop bar, but it’s so close to other eating options around. Also didn’t drive so not sure what their parking situation is like.

The room had two broken lights, a broken drawer, and when the shades were open, we could see the windows were filthy. The insulation in the building is so poor we could hear people partying (Thursday evening) around midnight at the rooftop bar when we were trying to sleep with children in the room. The price paid for this hotel was not worth it.

This is a pretty and modern property. Love the rooftop and I wish I had gotten the chance to visit the speakeasy bar under but hopefully next time. Unfortunately we had 2 incidents first night we got scared at 8 pm housekeeping came to ask if everything was ok and if we needed anything. That was off and unexpected! Second night a baby was screaming coming from a room with a doorbell and it was concerning. He kept yelling Daddy stop we called the front desk and I’m not sure what they did but baby didn’t stop crying sad!!!

The hotel itself is really nice & exactly as pictured. Unfortunately, it’s location is a bit sketchy. Lots of homeless people, most are probably harmless, but be prepared especially if you have small children.

Good central location to branch out from to other areas. Easy walk to Crypto arena (Lakers/Clippers NBA stadium). As with most downtown LA, bit dirty on the streets and need to be somewhat careful. Lack of a fridge in the room was disappointing- travelling as a family of 4 a small fridge is always handy and usually expected.

My family and I actually enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It accommodated 5. The bunk beds and 2 queen beds was amazing for the teenagers. There is lots of space in the room. However, the “wall” to the bathroom is see through if you have lights on. So, we had to stay to one side of the room to give privacy to those showering. Before arriving, I got a text from the front desk, which was a great touch to the hotel. He gave me information on parking before I even got there. Parking is unfortunate at this location, as you park your own vehicle next door or down the block, but that’s LA for you. The outside was very dirty (like literally we almost stepped on human feces from the homeless outside). At the end of the block, a homeless lady was causing issues with a police officer as we passed, which turned into 6 police cars in the middle of the road. And there was many more issues so we were sort of skeptical on going out except when necessary. We did see that the next morning the ground was sprayed down on the whole block. But it was dirty again when we came back. So they tried. We didn’t use any of the amenities, though they were offered. Was sort of bummed with the lukewarm shower after a long day at Universal Studios. But the beds were very comfy and clean. We did have to keep the fan on to drowned out noise to sleep, because it was very loud, even though we were on the 12th floor. There also wasn’t a filter in the air duct above the bed either, so this wasn’t great for asthma.
