Staybridge Suites Fairfield Napa Valley Area, an IHG Hotel

Room that was booked for family of 7 was changed into 2 separate rooms due to A/C problems, 1 of the separate rooms given had A/C problems as well. Had to get a fan from housekeepers. Outside of A/C issues, the rooms were good. Breakfast and snacks provided were good.

It was great suite layout for our family of 7 but the indoor pool was very humid inside making it unbearable to go swimming.

We've stayed here multiple times because it is very close to a family friend's residence. The breakfasts are not the best quality, but that's OK because the rooms have a kitchenette (small stove, microwave, minimal plates, and utensils, etc.). The last trip was a sketchy stay, this trip got a little worse. Used Kleenex under the nightstand in the bedroom (very obvious to anyone walking into the room. The bathroom had a smell of urine, the shower filled with water draining slowly, and as always never the number of sets of towels requested (the latter we can overlook, and they did fix the shower issue). I did not point out the Kleenex problem until the 3rd day when I made it a point for those doing "light cleaning". The overall problem is the issues with this being a California hotel. They only do "light cleaning" (if you request it). We were there for a week and we had to constantly ensure we'd get "light cleaning". One day they did clean a bit more extensively, soap mopping the bathroom to eliminate the urine smell. They just need to start doing real room service (making the bed and vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms), instead of just emptying trash and replacing towels. I get the idea of the "environment", but I come from the Las Vegas area, and they need to take some lessons on how to properly save, but CA just charges more instead of rewarding actual savings, unlike LV. Might just pay more to stay at a higher quality place, which this place could be if they wanted.

Stay was great. Family had a good time. Grandkids especially enjoyed the indoor pool.

My children and I enjoyed our stay. The beds were clean and very comfortable. My kids loved that there was a full refrigerator as well as a mini kitchen, both bedrooms had their own bathrooms so they didn't have to share. We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite with 2 queens and 1 king bed. I liked that there were stores close by so if we had to go get groceries we were able to.

Fun stay with the family. For the most part, everything was enjoyable: comfy bed, spacious room, yummy breakfast, nice indoor pool and hot tub, kind and helpful staff. Only a couple of relatively minor criticisms. The key card reader at the side door by the parking lot didn’t always work - had to swipe several times. And I’m sure others will roll their eyes at this, but consider putting something besides Fox News on the TV during breakfast. Lots of neutral family-friendly morning shows that would be more appropriate (in my humble opinion). Other than that, we had fun! Nowhere really to walk, but Scandia mini Golf and Games only a five minute drive, and lots of good restaurants in the area.

Clean, great service, resolved the issues quick, breakfast was nice, pool great for family, location convenient, will be back

For our multigenerational family of seven it was a perfect New Year’s getaway. Our suite was very nice and cozy and versatile. We cooked our own dinners and enjoyed the convenience of breakfast at the hotel. We were grateful for the many options of food available for breakfast and the nice atmosphere in the common area where we ate. We enjoyed hours in the pool and hot tub. The fact that the pool is relatively small and not too deep, but warm, made it possible for everyone in our party, even the weak swimmers, to feel safe and enjoy themselves. The staff was friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that there were guests who smoked in the inner courtyard and left their cigarette butts lying around. Since this was advertised as a non-smoking facility, I was a bit disappointed to have to experience the smokers and their debris. They dropped their butts onto the (inactive) fire ring in the courtyard, which I thought was going to be lit, for guests to enjoy some outdoor time by the fire. All in all though, we are still happy we came, and I think it was great value for the money!

I booked the suite online for $200 a night and was charged $268. The hotel refused to listen my complaint. The rooms were not well thought out. Light switch for the bathroom was on the outside of the room, so at night when you went into the room, there was no way to do it without disturbing others sleeping in the bedroom. The toilet is one of those minimal height toilets, better suited to use by children. Housekeeping was NOT helpful, but I tipped them anyway. I will not stay there again and I spend 45-60 days a year on the road.

they had zero extra pillows and blankets. i called in advance to let them know i had two toddlers and we’d be getting there late so to please have extra pillows and blankets in the room and they didn’t do it, and also didn’t have any for the entire duration of our stay. my husband, myself, and two kids had a suite with a queen bed, pull out couch, and crib but only one bottom sheet, one blanket, and two pillows for all of us to share. needless to say we got ZERO sleep and the desk staff wasn’t apologetic at all. the wiring for the stove was exposed and there were ants all over the room. we had to pay for parking despite being dropped off. i’ve never had such a horrible experience at a hotel in my life
