Crowne Plaza Silicon Valley N - Union City, an IHG Hotel

The sink and the tub were clogged but no one was available to fix. The cleaner opened the door around 9:30am just to ask if we are checking out. She didnt wait for us to open the door. She just opened the door by herself invading our privacy. Not a good experience. Not going back anymore and will tell family and friends.

We often stay at this hotel when visiting family and it is comfortable and the staff is nice. I would suggest an upgrade on the buffet breakfast which I paid in advance along with my reservation. The food was basic and not really good and the same exact items each day. Due to this we only ate there twice. Will see if Expedia will refund the remaining days..probably wont.

If you have family in area good location

The first night we got back late and went right to sleep. We woke up in the middle of the night freezing. The heater was not working. The following day, the hotel confirmed the heater was not working and we were moved to another room. When asked if there could be some credit toward the room for the night without heat, the clerk ("Kevin") said it was not the hotel's problem and there was nothing he could do. I spoke with "Sylvia," Kevin's manager, who said she would provide some points if we signed up as an IHG member. She said she was going to send an email. I signed up, but Sylvia never sent the email. What an incompetent hotel and management-- I look forward to sharing my story with family and friends who ask.

Rented 2 Rooms #316 & #318. #318-No Problems based from my children's evaluation. Room #316 I stayed is terrible! Shower hot water almost none existent. Water leak arround comode. Only one switch for bathroom light and exhaust fan - so noisy. No ice bucket. I called to ask for a bucket and was given a small trash bag for ice.

My family and I had swim in the pool which was extremely dirty. The pool had a bad smell and had lots of debris in side. The next day I found lots of mosquito bites all over my body. As I tried to take a shower yellow water came out for a few seconds. You also have to pay $15 dollars per person for breakfast. They say the beds are queen sizes but they were pretty small and looked more like a full sized bed. Overall, if your looking for something cheap this is the place but the experience I had was not that great.

My experience started off good and ended bad - my dad who was visiting from out of the country left his jacket in the room after check out. I called the front desk to ask if they found the jacket they told me they would return my call- 2hrs went by no response. I called again the lady at the front desk said no manager was available to get into the lost in found until the next day at 8:30 am. My parents flight was tonight so I took it upon myself to drive there and try my luck... low and behold the jacket was there in a plastic bag. I expected more from Crowne Plaza considering their prices but I’m more disappointed in the customer service! Being lied to is not how I needed this start of the New Year to be for me and family especially when they were here to visit for medical reasons.
