We stay at a lot of hotels on family trips, but like Historic hotels on couples trips. this is the best Historic hotel we have ever stayed in. The service was top notch, it was very clean and up-kept (they didn't use "oldness" as an excuse to let things go), and they provided a basket of extra supplies at our door in the morning so we didn't have to ask. They also text with daily things to do. Oh, and parking is included in the price! We will definitely be staying here again!

First of all, this is an OLD hotel. Like the rest of the town, everything is OLD. That said, it is not a bad hotel. The staff was amazing. From the front desk attendants to the bar/dining staff to the cleaning staff, the service was amazing. I always try to book directly through the hotel...but that was not a wise move. We received an amazing deal through Expedia. The price was 1/2 of booking through the hotel directly. We booked 2 rooms and loved being across the hall from each other. The rooms were cozy, but old. Dim lighting and interesting plumbing situations. The floors are creaky, which falls in line with the mood of the old hotel. Beds, bedding, sheets, towels were totally fine. The hotel restaurant was very good as was the game room. I had a great time with my almost-adult children in the game room. The location is absolutely perfect! Being right in the middle of Eureka is fantastic. We could walk everywhere and if needed, the hotel had a shuttle available at all times. We had amazing dining experiences at the suggestion of the hotel staff . Overall, we had a fantastic stay at a fun hotel which is located in the best place in Eureka!

Recent visit to historic Basin hotel with family was nice and they are exercising excellent precautions during the pandemic. I always enjoy the history of Eureka Springs however, I think it is time for a complete overhaul of the hotel. And it needs more than just another coat of paint. I would have to say at this point the owners are looking for a tourist money grab. So they need to take notice of their ratings and do a complete gut job and bring at least some parts into the present if they want to have any future.
