First off they were so kind an helpful. The chalets are amazing with a BEAUTIFUL view! If you would like to stay in and cook dinner there is a full kitchen. My family thoroughly enjoyed the fire pit. They also have a jacuzzi and heated pool. The walking trail behind the resort is acceptable for all ages, dogs, and bikes. Also there is plenty of spots on the trail to take great photos.

Stayed four days at the beginning of September in the Kabito cabin. Excellent location with the Slim Shady trail literally outside your door, with an unobstructed view of Bell Rock and Courthouse Butte (and connecting trails leading to those, which we did). Some great views - sunrise or sunset especially- from the Made in the Shade trail (a short 12 minutes from the property, branches off the Slim Shady). Staff were friendly, parking free and plentiful. Close enough to Sedona (just a short 15 min drive away), and Oak Creek Village has a good grocery (Clark’s Market), coffee shops (Firecreek was good), and eateries (recommend Colts Grill a short stroll down the block - great BBQ). The pool isn’t large but it’s sufficient for kids, as are the two hot tubs, along with the bean bag toss game, and BBQs for those who want to bbq themselves. Evening fire pit was a nice touch, to go with star gazing. We appreciated having a kitchen available. Make sure to properly store your food else you might find ants helping themselves.

Great place for families. The firepit and free Smores were delicious. The hot tub was relaxing under the stars. Staff was helpful and happy. Best thing to do is to get up a half an hour before sunrise and walk the trail. In 10 minutes you are standing on a rock with a 360 degree view as the sun paints all of the mountains around you.

We have stayed here before and had an outstanding experience, this visit wasn’t as impressive. I booked the same Chalet as the time before but when we checked, they put us in a different one, not a big deal since they look identical for the most part. However, the one we were placed in had a temperamental toilet that my husband had to fix during the stay- also not the end of the world but also not ideal when you’re on vacation. We then found out that the reason the heaters didn’t stay on and actually heat the place was because of some sort of problem with the breaker, which sounds like a bigger problem then a wrong room and temperamental toilet. It was chilly and stormy over the weekend, so I spent the two nights we were there continuously checking on the kids to make sure they were under their blankets and warm. I waited a couple days to review because the staff that was there working were so nice and assured my husband that someone would reach out to us but our stay, but no one has. Their customer service to your face is excellent, both visits we were impressed with how welcoming and helpful staff is. The location of the resort is nice, and the views are amazing, I’d love to stay again, but I’m not sure I’d feel confident booking after the lack of communication regarding our disappointing stay.

Quiet, cozy, and private. There was enough space and the kitchen was a bonus. I love the two bedroom set up. Heaters worked well to keep us warm. The set up for the spiral staircase was a bit awkward, so watch your head, but it was not a real problem. Overall a great place to stay for couples and families.

The view from the property is breathtaking and the lodgings are just next to trails. The kids enjoyed the pool and the free marshmallows on the outdoor fire.
