Wind Creek Casino & Hotel Wetumpka

This was a redemption stay. I had stayed before and didn’t have a great experience. This time was wonderful. There were very minor issues which I’ll get to but the positives- The morning pool staff ladies are Amazing!!! Favorite part of the stay The food staff and food quality was great! The staff was friendly and everything is very very clean. The casino was fun as always. No big payouts but it was still very enjoyable and the bar staff was much better this time. The hotel was clean and our check in check out process was a breeze. The room was. Standard king but was spacious and comfortable and the air worked great The cons (if you can even call them that) there were small kids in the pool and spa during adult hours and while the evening poor bar tender worked her butt off the attendees were unfriendly, unhelpful and always on their phones. The heating element in the spa was also broken but it was so hot outside it was barely missed.

I was my first time and every one of the staff members was so helpful to show us around that it made me feel so welcome. I will be back again soon as possible so that I can enjoy myself and I will be tell all my friends and family

The rooms were beautiful and well maintained. Check in personnel would not help with connection to Wi-Fi but instead gave me phone number to call. No explanation where anything was including pool or elevators. A major issue of mine was their pool area and allowing people to hang out there smoking waiting for their bus to take back home. They should restrict access to only people staying at the hotel but they don't and it leads to a feeling like you're staying at a motel 6 establishment when you're paying for the Ritz instead. It is because of this issue that my wife and I will not go to this casino again. Other similar casinos especially those in Vegas would not allow others to hang around and occupy seating from people not staying at the hotel either. The casino was nice and clean, with service personnel helpful and cordial. Lots of different slot machines that would satisfy most people's tastes. Spa area outside by pool was in deployable shape, an eyesore that needed razing or refurbishment. Do not recommend this Wind Creek casino, especially for family.

We stopped here on the way to MS to chop up a long drive. We had our kids with us, 8 years and 4 months, and chose this hotel because the reviews were better than others in the area. However, it’s not a great hotel for kids. It’s very smoky because of the casino. We were on the 7th floor and could still smell it. The rooms were nice though. They were spacious and updated, which is why we picked it overall. My husband played the slots for a few hours, which was fun. Overall, it’s a beautiful hotel and a good choice for that area. We just likely won’t stop with the kids next time.
