Very good for the price. Comfortable bed and functioning AC (slightly loud but helped mask the family of kloggers upstairs). Room and hotel were very clean. Breakfast was minimal but sufficient. Only real gripe was the shower was warm but not hot even though hot water out of the tap in the sink. No real view but conveniently located. Mexican restaurant across the highway is excellent.

We were not happy with our stay. I booked two different rooms for me and my family with one room being a handicap accessible room for my mother who is in a wheelchair. The wheelchair accessible room had really high beds and a bathtub, which my mother could not use. She had trouble maneuvering her wheelchair around the small room. My disabled mother had to sleep in a chair in the room with several pillows, because she couldn’t get in the bed. She could use the shower, because she couldn’t step into the tub. Some other cons about our stay were: Some of the staff were not very welcoming. My mother asked for a blanket and we were told they had no blankets. Online states the hotel was around 12 miles from the Wind Creek Casinos. It was not, it was more of a 30 minutes drive. Not many choices for breakfast. The elevator is very small. Pool wasn’t open. Parking was a challenge. I will not book this hotel again, I’m very disappointed that this hotel has such a high rating on hotel booking websites.

Let me start with the good. We decided to stop here for one night to break up our travels with kiddos. We checked in right around 3pm, then immediately hit the pool with the kids. Good pool for a short stay. We had a good evening and went to dinner down the road. No issues at all with the hotel. Here comes the bad and worse. The next morning as we were set to check out, car got loaded and turned on to start cooling down before we loaded kids into it, I walk inside to get wife and kids and checkout, and we got trapped inside our room! The door handles broke apart within the door and weren't withdrawing the mechanism to undo the latch. It took calling the front desk multiple times, then the owner to come and try and get us out. After over an hour of being trapped inside our room, with both kids, they finally decided to break the door down to get us out. Then after some argument, they agreed to give a discounted rate for the mishap. We booked through Expedia so they had to do the discount through them. When we left the hotel, our stay according to the Hotel front desk was going to be $51.75 after the discounts for being trapped. Then we get billed the full $185 amount. After many calls with Expedia, and Expedia calling the hotel to corroborate our story, the Sleep Inn manager and owner claimed NONE of that ever happened and are now giving a $45 discount for the "inconvenience with Expedia". I have no problem with the stay, but highly disrespect the owner and staff for being scum

I’m very appreciative to the female employee who checked me in. I believe her name was Rita. I have Covid & needed a safe place to quarantine away from my family. I’m so thankful for her help & patience during the check-in process.
