We were just staying for one night traveling through on family vacation and we found a very large live cockroach in our room! I have small kids and this is just unacceptable!!!

I am very picky about where I choose for my family to stay. This hotel was very clean and nice. I like that they had different options for breakfast each morning. The sweet lady who worked the front desk both nights was extremely helpful and friendly. I would absolutely stay here again.

Room was very gross, from the smell down to my children’s socks being almost black from walking on the dirty carpet. There were burns in the carpet like it’s been used as a drug room. Also the sink did not drain well.

Our front desk receptionist was sooooooo nice!!!! She was so pleasant and sweet. I didn’t catch her name but she was amazing m! Was very informative about where everything was. Checked my family in right away. It was the smoothest check in experience I’ve probably ever had so far. Kindness and being nice is so important these days in this rough world. She was awesome!!👍❤️

During the night someone kept putting a key 🔑 card in our door and jiggling the handle. This went on from 230am until 330 am until I called the front desk and she went up there. Obviously it was some spring break kids because there were pizza 🍕 boxes in the hall down from our room. I got 1 hour and 1/2 of sleep before my dr appointment in birmingham the next morning. Not happy 😒

When I find myself in the Birmingham area again, I will definitely stay here. The staff was very friendly (especially the night and overnight ladies). These ladies made me feel like a member of their family. It was a joy to encounter people that still love their jobs.

Place appeared to be fairly recently updated. Clean, comfortable room. Every staff member encountered was extremely friendly and helpful; makes you feel like you're visiting family. Breakfast was very good, especially the cooked food (sausage, eggs, gravy). Much better than typical fare at hotel continental breakfast. Definitely recommend for a comfortable stay.

Property was nice, rooms were clean. I guess the owner of the property had his family there the day I checked in and there were kids running up and down the hallway until almost 10, so my kids had a hard time falling asleep.

Our suite was a perfect layout, very roomy. But the room had a musty smell that made the 2 kids cough most of the night and my sinus were acting up. No one had issues before and they cleared up after checking out.

We chose this hotel based on its proximity to Oak Mountain State Park where family was. It was clean, great breakfast and lots to choose from, pool, and corteous service. The bed was good, just not quite as comfy as I'd like but not bad at all as far as mattresses go lol I'd stay here again.
