Holiday Inn Research Park, an IHG Hotel

My family enjoyed our stay and will return when we return to that area.

My stay here is always comfortable! I never have any issues! This is my go to place whether it’s one night or the weekend. My family reunion weekend stay will be here as well later this year! Love the convenient location!

I really enjoyed how clean they were, also my kids had a blast in the indoor pool.

Checked in: hotel-"you are on our 5th floor which requires key access in the elevators" me-*unloads family to luggage cart, gets in elevator, keycard doesn't work, tells family to hold elevator while i visit the front desk hotel-"yeah one of the elevator card readers doesn't work" me-"So how do i get to my room when there is one button to call an elevator?" hotel-*shrugs shoulders me-*spends much time finding an elevator that can take me to a floor that my room is on. later... me: take kids to the pool (outdoor pool is closed, and completely green) key card doesnt work on pool door. Goes to front desk 4 different times, even involved maintenance guy who had to plug in a device (from 1996) to reprogram the door.took around 20 minutes me: after accessing the pool, discovered water was off in our room, talked to the General Manager, who said "yeah, they are about to turn that back on" (no apology). had brown water for the rest of the visit. The AC unit only worked half the time in the room, DO NOT STAY HERE... it's complete garbage with people that just shrug at you when you tell them directly, "I cannot get to the room that i just paid for". unbelievable.

I was traveling with 3 small children for about 8 hours.we get to the hotel and they wouldn't honor my discount so that upset me.. Then we go to get ice and the ice machine on the 4th floor wasnt working. then after we are preparing to take showers for the night which is around 11:00 pm the tub is stopped up... i called the front desk and they tell me to change rooms and we'll bring carts for the luggage. No apologies,no cart and no help was offered to me.i was disappointed with the inconvenience of my stay and im having to move kids out late at night

I booked this because of the location and pool. My son participated in Trash Panda Baseball camp. This was a great location with top golf Dave and busters in the same plaza. The beds were amazing. The pool area is being redone so the indoor was closed. The outdoor area has a very nice pool that needed a good scrub. I’m sure that’s due to the renovation. I loved that the pool was open till 11 we swam after the game to cool down. We ordered a couple drinks and the kids got a snack on the way back to the room.

The rooms are extremely outdated. The microwave was falling apart, the bathroom has no A/C or ventilation, the carpet was gross, and the lighting was so harsh. The lightbulbs used in the room are fluorescent and gave an overall awful, depressing & run down aesthetic to the room. The towels are so old and they felt like sand paper. The lobby has the same aesthetic. There are far better hotels for the rate they are charging. I stay at Holiday Inn Express often so assumed this Holiday Inn would be fine being the same corporate family. They are not even remotely the same.
