Ravelston House

Hotel is conveniently located for travelling up to Edinburgh. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable. Excellent shower and bathroom. Food is good and excellent value for money. Will definitely book again when visiting family.

We stayed at Ravelston House for just one night whilst being in Scotland visiting family. The staff were all lovely, especially the friendly barman who checked us in and the lady serving breakfast the following morning. The room was nice and clean with a nice decor. It was a bit cold when we first arrived but staff were attentive and fixed the problem straight away. The staff were helpful advising us of a local bus route in to Edinburgh to see the Christmas lights and market. We had a great night sleep and the free breakfast was great - lots of choice and generous portions! Overall a great value stay in a lovely little hotel.

Unfortunately we chose a night where there was a very loud function in the hotel and there was thudding music until midnight and screaming children running up and down stairs. The shower had hair in. Alas when we arrived there’s no check in desk and had to wait a while for someone to give us keys.
